Short little game, not a ton of replayability, but free and fun.

Cute game. Short and sweet. The events are definitely a sight to behold.
5/10 Minimalistic management sim about Ancient Rome religion. TLDR: while the art here is cute and you may be interested in the described events of Roman history, the gameplay is too simplistic and too random to be enjoyable or even meaningful. Neutral vote Good: + free + cute art + some interesting pieces from the history of Ancient Rome, if you're interested in it Bad: - the core mechanic here is to keep the attitudes of 5 classes of the society to you above zero. Yet you can't see the exact attitude of those classes at a glance. Instead, you need to spend 1 action point (and you have 3 per day) to talk to 5 guys and interpret their replies. The text takes time to appear, and you click to speed it up. Since there are a handful of possible statements these guys can make, most of the text you end up reading is repetitive. You end up in a boring, annoying routine of clicking and reading the same texts over and over. A proper, gamer-friendly way to implement this would be just to show bars or numbers over each guy. Or better just put it somewhere in the UI, and remove the 1 action point cost for learning the current state. - by design, to win here you need to pray for miracles cuz they boost attitude of every social group by +3. Yet the chance of the miracle succeeding is 60%. Almost like a coin flip. Meaning that, you'd just need to play 2 or 3 times, doing those coin flips, until it's "heads" and you win. So the Art is fantastic, the writing is funny, the whole project is wonderfully put together. But I just had my first successful run and I did not feel like I was very much in control of the game. You have to succeed on a miracle once, this is non-negotiable, so it is up to a coinflip wether you succeed. In some of my previous runs I lost a 70% and a 80% so I had assumed that the game was playing a joke on me, pretending like miracles aren't real so it would auto-fail. No no, it's just an RNG check. You can literally appease all the right people at all the right times and still loose by how the random events are structured and it does not at all feel rewarding if you are playing to win. There is no funny strategy you can do, there is no biases you can have, there is no different text for loosing the game in different ways. You loose one way, almost guaranteed, 5 times in a row, until you get a lucky run. Definitely a greatly put together game, but lacking in the gameplay and player expression side.
court, sympas et de bonnes idées !
