About

Fight through the rise of the Roman Republic.
Starting with the Pyrrhic War. Can you defend the Republic?
War has broken out between Rome and the unruly city of Tarentum, one of the last major cities in Italia not under the Senate’s control. Outmatched, Tarentum has called for aid from the Kingdom of Epirus in Greece. A modern, disciplined army the likes of which Rome has never faced.
Led by their king, Pyrrhus, cousin of Alexander the Great, they are truly a force to be reckoned with. General, it is your task to stop them and bring glory to Rome!

All maps are handcrafted, based on historical battles and settings, and drawn in a retro pixel-art style. Bonus objectives provide players with greater challenges and unlock new campaign paths, leading to a dynamic and highly repayable experience.
Build forts along roads to resupply your units in battle. Keep the roads clear to ensure your forts stay supplied. This simple yet historically inspired mechanic gives Roman General a unique layer of strategic depth in managing supply lines.
To run the game on Mac you have to manually go into settings -> Security and on Roman General press open anyway, We are planning fix this.

Blumkin game, fun strategizing a way to cutely conquer the filthy epirus UwU
This was surprisingly fun, even if the graphics are simple, I really liked the way it looked and especially played. Still EA, but a lots of things already to do, and will just get better over time.
Great strategy game, challenging but rewarding. Loving the inter-mission mood setting. The developers continuous improvements are appreciated and are making the game better and better. If you like panzer corps and unity of command, this is for you.
edit: Now that I have added 6 hours, which in this game feels like more because of the scope, I have to say that it really is a fun game. The turn based battles, which is basically the entire game, has real depth. There are multiple units, all historical, and they give your forces a real feel of diversity. Im on the 3rd major battle trying to push Phyrus out of Italy when he brings out his elephants. Like in real life I had a real issue with them. I wasnt able to use some clever strategum like Scipio but I did use strategy and tactics to get the right troops around them. Whittled them down and took them out, but it wasnt easy. I also won a battle in a way that impressed the senate so I had a choice between an elite unit or more money, I took the unit. Without special powers or anything this unit is my best and does great work. it was a fun little mechanic. This game isnt some vast Roman Wargame, but it is a well made Wargame featuring Rome. Its historical as far as units and feel, and its fun. Get this game so the dev adds more content! This was after just an hour or so of gameplay: As a seasoned military history wargamer I have to say so far so good. Game is focused and simple enough but has all the historical bones and tactics to make both casual and more historical fans happy. I played the demo for about double my play time so take that for what its worth
Pretty compelling currently, seems to be shaping up well. Looking forward to seeing it develop more.
Really interesting game so far! Unique graphics and challenging yet rewarding gameplay. Definetly recommend this to anyone who enjoys strategy games :)

A true gem! Being new to wargames, this was easy to learn, easy to love, easy to have a lot of fun. Rexcommended with true hearth. Support the dev, he deserves it. SPQR!
