I'm a huge fan of rolling realms but this port is awful. The game looks awful, the AI seems to only just barely function. There's a weird lag/sluggishness to the mouse cursor in game that makes playing the game unbearable. If you're a fan of the board game that really wants a digital version I would still recommend just playing the browser version instead.
I was really excited to check out Rolling Realms as an ardent fan of the physical game. Currently the digital version is very hard to play. The UI is so minimal as to cause confusion, there is no back or undo button for many game states that should be undoable, and we encountered many visual glitches and crashes in the short time it took us to play 2 abortive games. Really hoping that improvements will come soon but as it currently is, the game is mostly unplayable.

I really like Rolling Realms (as I do many of Stonemeier Games). However, this digital implementation has a number of warts and bugs. 1 - Several crashes, especially when using undo. 2 - Lots and lots of bugs, also especially after an undo. I especially enjoyed when the game put in the value of 157 in one die slot on Wingspan. 3 - Rules violations, for example, not allowing you to spend pumpkins to adjust a newly created die. (The rules explicitly allow this.) 4 - UI wonkiness -- for example, good luck reading the last page of the tutorial as it closes immediately after displaying the text. Read fast! This has the potential to be a good digital adaptation of the game, but right now, this is early beta quality and needs more refinement.
Yes, technically it is a bit glitchy, but all the mechanics are there and that is joyful <3
This is a faithful adaptation of the Rolling Realms tabletop game. If you liked that, you'll probably like this. If you're not familiar with it, it's a dice-and-card based roll and write game, where you roll dice and mark up some dry-erase cards depending on what was rolled on the dice. I very much wish it was more than just the base box - I hope that some (or all) of the expansions will eventually appear as DLC. More options = better replay. But this is enough to let me play remotely with some friends.
Hate this implementation of a very good tabletop board game. Super buggy, does't load half the time and when it does work it crashes when I try to start a game.
I hope a DLC gets released soon. It's very fun but currently pretty limited.
Hoping this gets some updates soon. I think it has potential to be a good port, but it has some rules bugs. I tried 3 games, completed zero of them. I disagree with the review that the graphics look bad. I personally think it looks totally 100% fine. It's the rules bugs that mess it up. I had one game I had to forcefully end because it was not allowing me to place any die even though there was absolutely an option available within the rules. Unfortunately, there was no recourse other than to manually end the game because I could literally do nothing and it gave no way to get around that. I ended the other games because as other reviewers stated, there is no way to "undo" certain things that should be un-doable. I also think it should probably have a built in tutorial of some sort... you just start the game and it assumes that you know how to play it and how to get around the UI. It is possible to figure it out through trial and error, but some of the mistakes I made were not due to gameplay/rules but due to not understanding how to complete a move through this specific digital UI implementation. I will continue to check in on this game, but will shelve it for awhile until there are some updates.
I have loved the physical copy of the game and I am glad that it got a digital version which is so cool. I'm ready to register at least 100 plays for the coming days. Also, am looking forward to DLC's of the promo realms and other possible features like a daily challenge, the minigolf solo campaign and the beyond the realmiverse solo campaign. :D
Excellent port of a great game. Highly recommend
