Rogue Legacy 2 is what you'd get if you mashed Rogue Legacy and a sequel together. Every time you die, your children will succeed you, and each child is unique. Your daughter might be a Colourblind Archer, and your son could be a Pacifistic Chef. Either way, one of them is getting conscripted.

Very fun, beautiful music and world, a looooooot of content. I'm very happy
Died a lot in the first game, now I am back to dying, but everything is bigger, smoother, and much prettier 10/10, would get inherited again
Rogue Legacy 2 is a extremely well-made and well-polished good game. It's not a fantastic game - it doesn't amaze or thrill - but it does what it's trying to do extremely competently. The house upgrade system provides the progression, new game+ provides the game length, the classes provide the gameplay variety, and the room, enemy, and boss design tie it all together to make a satisfying game to play. It's got secrets, side-challenges, a story and lore, alternate modes, accessibility options, pretty much anything you could ask for. I likely would have enjoyed it a bit more if it were a 50-hour game instead, but even when it had become a bit rote it was still pleasant to play, and there was still room to grow and get better. Good game.
