About
In Rock and Stone, you are a dwarf on a mission to get rich! While you'll be mining rocks and collecting valuable loot, your true fortune is made in the player-driven market. You'll need to decide whether to sell the items you find to other players or use them to speed up your own mining. With no pay-to-win in-game purchases, your success depends entirely on your gear, luck, and determination.
Rock and Stone is a game that works for you, even when you're not playing. You will mine rocks in the background, automatically gathering Steam items. You can either sell these items on the market for a profit or open them for new gear and gold. You can occasionally click to use a limited stamina reserve to speed up mining manually. You can also purchase in-game buffs with gold you find, giving you temporary boosts. The stronger your gear, the faster you can mine and the better your chances of finding rare treasures.
Items come in five rarities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Each rarity provides stronger stats and bigger bonuses. There are 11 stats that affect your mining, including:
Magic find
Damage, crit chance and crit damage multiplier
Experience
Buff and gold chance
Buff duration and gold amount
Stamina regeneration
Auto-mining speed
You can equip various types of gear, such as rocks, pickaxes, and pickaxe mods, to improve these stats and become an even more effective miner.
While mining, you have a chance to find gold and temporary buffs. You can also buy longer-lasting buffs with gold at any time. There are four types of buffs that can give you a boost, including:
Increased damage
More experience
Faster auto-mining
Faster stamina regeneration
Reforge functionality allows you to combine 12 items of the same rarity into one new item of the next higher rarity Look out for secret recipes that don't require all 12 items! A gold cost, which varies based on the item rarity, is associated with each reforge. You can enable Reforge mode using the button in your in-game inventory. Type of the output item is affected by the distribution of the input items types.

Artifacts are collectible items that grant stat bonuses to your character as long as they remain in your Steam inventory. They’re passive, and persistent. Each artifact provides fixed bonuses. Bonuses are automatically applied when the artifact is in your Steam inventory—no need to convert them to game items, equip or activate. Artifacts come in multiple rarities, just like other in-game items. The higher the rarity, the stronger and more numerous the bonuses.

As I DRG fan when I heard there was a game called Rock and Stone I had to try it. I’ve never tried a clicker before, so I didn’t have any expectations going in. The gameplay loop is simple enough, but it really scratches the “number go up” itch that I eternally have. The biggest draw for me is the way items interact with the marketplace. You can buy/sell/trade items before bringing them into the game and determining their stats. I am a sucker for a game with a player market, so I’m locked in. Dig deep miners!

Good God, if someone told me that I'd log almost 1800 hours on a clicker, I would never believe them, but alas, here we are! I see the negative reviews, and while this game does have a very active marketplace, you don't have to spend a dime to 100% this game, although it could help do it faster if you did. In fact you can make money, and not even spend money... up to you, but this is a great clicker. Recommended.
one of the better clicker sort of games. reminds me of diablo looting + clicker progression. get random stat piees of your hammer or pickaxe and build up. great for less than 5 minute bursts and some of the items have value inherently from the game actually being ok. you want to get stronger and getting stronger has an impact on the type of items that drop. should have started a long time ago
An idle game that runs in the background while you do other things. You farm items passively and slowly build your character over time. You can sell lower-quality items on the market to save up and buy other games or upgrades. When it first launched, the game felt a bit plain, but with the new reforge system and frequent events, it’s now much easier to get higher rarity items. If you’re expecting an active gameplay experience, this might not be for you. But if you enjoy the satisfaction of checking in once or twice a day, seeing rare drops, and getting that little dopamine hit — this is perfect. Unlike most idle games, you don’t have to check every 10 minutes or every hour to upgrade something. Even if you don’t play actively, the game doesn’t punish you or make you feel like you’re falling behind. It’s a chill, stress-free idle experience.
Bought marketplace item. Converted it to in game data and it deletes off marketplace store. Item data is corrupted and deletes item. I have contacted support without reply. Made discussion post without reply. Do not spend money on this game at all!
981 hours in and still Rocking it. There is more of a challenge here than you think as I have only recently discovered I was not playing it's full potiential!
Progress is painfully slow and boring. It feels endless and i'm only at the beginning 💀 just clicking a rock with nothing interesting happening
I've already made some Steam wallet $$ from selling items on the market. Most people giving negative reviews do not understand that this is not a typical clicker/incremental idle game. It is idle game for mining loot in the background that you can try to sell to other players. Conceptually it is similar to Banana, but items have use in game, and drop more frequently if you upgrade your gear. Initial ~90 minute drop time can be reduced to ~15 minutes with epic gear. It will not only improve frequency but also increase chance for getting more rare drops, so more potential for extra profit.
