Robo Go

Just a very very bad platformer. Makes no fun at all.

Robo Go is a Construct 2 asset flip from the repeat serial offenders, "wow wow Games", who have a sordid history of copying + pasting GameMaker Studio templates onto Steam and charging eye watering prices for them... cash grab scams, trying to get your money for the work of other, real game developers. This kind of scamming is harmful to gamers and pollutes the Steam store. Robo Go is just another in a series of asset flips from "wow wow Games", but in an unusual deviation from their normal MO, they credited some (but not all) of the people for the assets they ripped off. It's still an asset flip. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The game features extremely lazy, minimalist "art", of the type you normally expect to see in low effort Flash/browser games and mobile apps. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the Construct 2/Construct 3 game engine/toolset. This is a very poor quality toolset sometimes used by amateur developers as it doesn't require advanced game development skills, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities (it's worse than GameMaker Studio!). Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Robo Go has a laughable, eye watering price of $10 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games, let alone the sheer number of free games available on Steam. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the highly unethical behaviour from this "developer", this is impossible to recommend.

Além disso, o jogo é uma crítica ao mundo atual, onde a tecnologia tem sido usada sem limites e com pouca reflexão sobre suas consequências. Ao jogar Robo Go, o jogador é forçado a pensar sobre o uso da tecnologia e como ela pode ser usada de forma mais consciente e sustentável. Crítica: No entanto, uma crítica que eu tenho em relação ao jogo é que ele pode se tornar repetitivo depois de um tempo. Embora existam vários níveis e desafios diferentes, a mecânica básica do jogo permanece a mesma. Isso pode fazer com que alguns jogadores percam o interesse depois de um tempo. Conclusão: No geral, Robo Go é um jogo emocionante, bem detalhado e incrível, que oferece desafios divertidos e educativos para jogadores de todas as idades.
