It was an attempt at making an action packed VR movie with some popular names, but really felt like something that you would find from some YouTube team that wanted to make a first person movie. It has a cool concept, but parts of it just didn’t even fit in and the 3D aspect of it is post production. So, some of it doesn’t even feel like it is in 3D. Would be amazing if they took lessons learned from this and used some of the new 3D cameras and made something even better.
While I enjoyed the experience, I have to say that the forced head moves just don't work. It appears that the people that made this think VR users all sit, sit still at that, and look straight ahead. The first thing a seasoned VR user does is look around, so you notice the screen cut off, that you are not sat (or stood) where the actor is that you are meant to be, and then everytime you have a look at something, the view spins to force you to look at what the director wants. Its hard work not being nauseated. I recommend sitting still and keeping your head straight. However, as a few others have said, kudos for the effort and its a great example of something that doesn't quite work, but if they hadn't have made it we couldn't go, "Well that didn't quite work", let's improve on that.
i loved this, i cant wait for part 2
Saw this on the Oculus Go Store, but a lot of the apps advertised cant be purchased anymore so got the steam version instead. Runs fine on Oculus Go with ALVR 18. Its fine as a short fun VR180 action movie for about 30 minutes. Like a DVD it has some extra features such as trailers, making of, commentary etc. It is a movie so there is no real user interaction, but its fine if you fancy a short action movie in VR3d
В принципе все хорошо, размеры нормальные, картинка как в кинотеатре, не укачивает. Но одно большое "НО", не 360 градусов, и сразу пропадает эффект присутствия.
Cool concept but glad it was cheap because it was entirely too short. seemed like they made it in a single day its soo short. lol I am very happy to contribute to future makings of full VR movies but not something this short. =/ The story jumped around to much for me and is a cool concept but poorly played out probably due to budget. All in all it was worth $5 to experience something that really doesnt exsist and to be able to see the future of movies.
Recht nett gemachtes VR Video.
-Pro: the idea -Cons: not 360 degrees 3D irrilevant blurry short stupid action bad camera and direction unbound scenes bad editing too fast annoying speaking part Im very disappointed.
Didn't work, no screen just audio once in the movie experience.
I like the idea, the execution not so much. They used a cheap setup and fake 3D so it doesn't really look good, everyone and everything looks huge. There is no real depth to the video, anyone who's watched a proper VR movie can tell you that it can get much better than this. Still I appreciate the effort and hope that in the future we'll get better quality VR movies. As for the nausea thing, yea if you're not already used to VR this isn't a good place to start. Stick with comfortable experiences until you can deal with rapid movement and turning before trying this out.
