Really great remake, improves alot of the original. I was at first sceptical because the myst 2021 remake lost all its magic due to the missing art direction of the original, but this one here nailed it!

Riven è Riven. Stupendo allora, magnifico adesso con il supporto del vr e un comparto grafico straordinario. Non a caso l'ho preso più per rilassarmi nei suoi stupendi paesaggi che per rifinire il gioco in se. Complesso iil giusto, le meccaniche vr sono pienamente implementate. Es un gran juego. Lo jugué en el 1998 y me fascinó. Al cabo de unos años lo compré para STEAMy volví a re jugarlo. Ahora con esta nueva versión y con gráficos super mejorados... y probándolo en VR, me he dado que es un juego de culto, y por fin...pude entrar en Riven como si fuera de verdad. No me lo hubiera creido en 1998.

This remake looks and feels as good today as your nostalgia has you remembering the 1997 original.

Jag började med Myst, men tyckte att den blev obegriplig för fort. Riven är fortfarande obegriplig, men roligare och man ser kopplingar, även om man inte vet hur det hela ska hänga ihop i slutänden.

It's Riven, but in VR, with some of the most gorgeous graphics in any VR title, and some of the puzzles are slightly easier. Honestly one of the best things to ever happen. There's nothing else quite like these Cyan VR remakes. It's like revisiting a childhood memory, but it's all even BETTER than you remember. A truly singular object.

Riven was peak Cyan. Absolute best of the series. This remake recaptures all of that magic plus changes enough for players who played the original to play it again. I saw an analysis video of it that put it as: it changes enough to "let returning players solve Riven for the first time again." and that is exactly what this does. It was magical. Knowledge based games like this are always ones where you can never ever really fully experience them again for the first time and go back to not knowing anything about it. While some of the knowledge from the original obviously transfers and make it easier than it would be for a first time player, it significantly changes enough to challenge players with that knowledge again and is the closest you will probably ever getting to playing it again for the first time. It was magical to be able to play Riven again with as close to a first time experience as you can possibly have without some kind of brain enema memory wipe. I've waited so long for Riven to get modernized and they not only modernized it but gave me a new yet familiar experience in the same amazing world again. Truly peak stuff.

Crushingly difficult/unintuitive puzzles. Some were great. Visually awesome.
