would probably be more fun without cc but still good
I really, really, really dislike rivals 2, but it is still a good game. Sure, I'll blame my computer for not being able to properly run the game at all even with lowered settings, I was at least able to play one ranked match, win 2-0 and refund 10 minutes later. I was matched against someone who seemed like they have never played rivals 1, only rivals 2 which was very sad to see. I don't like how this game controls compared to the first one, I don't exactly like how it looks compared to the first one although the artists responsible for the 3D visuals did an amazing job. Rivals 2 basically gutted what I liked about Rivals 1 and told me "You'll love it!" I wouldn't count on Workshop saving it either, considering the amount of work one has to do with 3D Models compared to simple sprites. Rivals 2 is still an excellent game and if this is one step closer to getting away from Ultimate then by all means, keep supporting it. It's just that me personally, I think Rivals 1 is just better. It controls better, It looks much more charming and you have years of high quality workshop content to play.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 6.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you like fast paced button mashing this is a well polished and smooth button masher with plenty of mechanics to sink your teeth in. However, if you like exchanges where you can reliably punish and make reads against even a cracked out adderall fiend because you outplayed, not just out-mashed your opponent, look elsewhere. Really cool game with a lot of potential but not a fun game once you get into it. Gets you hooked but is a hollow experience with diminishing returns.
im no furry but this game is cool :P
512 hours of my life and not a second more. Worthless space of a game that has only gotten worse and worse while also stagnating in any way you could possibly think. I have the utmost of respect for the developers but I hope whatever they make after this (if they stay afloat after this) is as far removed from this game as it possibly could be, in terms of engine (ue5 is awful), gameplay design, netcode, everything. What a worthless game.
Game is terrible every character is overtuned and not fun to play against. Too many gimmicks. Reached plat in this game. Clairen is the only balanced character. All the others are just spam, no such thing as whiff punishing in this game. This game will be dead by next year and gladly so! These developers have no clue how to balance this game.
Please give this game love.
great fighting game
Literally one of if not the best Smash-like game on the market. Characters have unique and fun gimmicks, and not even the very bottom of the tiers is anywhere close to being unplayable. This game does need some time to grow, and I hope it still gets that chance despite the kvetching...
