This is another unfortunate case of why is there no mixed review on Steam. I had high hopes for RITE after first few levels. Simple precision platformer with nice soundtrack, pleasing graphics and good price to content ratio. First four worlds play reasonably nice; it is the last world that uncovers all little flaws with the game. RITE has controls similar to Super Meat Boy, while level design is closer to Celeste. This creates a problem where the character is way too uncontrollable for the levels. It doesn't help that inputs are extremely sensitive, which throws the precision out the window. I wish I could put up a positive review, as I enjoyed the game in the beginning and still decided to 100% it. But the last world ruined it by being annoying instead of difficult.
Design + OST are hard carrying this review being positive. If you think this game is pretty watching the trailer, definitely pick it up for 5 dollars you're getting a chill vibe-platformer. My problems with this game come down to the last world, i would recommend skipping it. The gameplay is anything but fun in this world, it's BEAUTIFUL, but the amount of precision you need to full clear them are inconsistent and it all comes down to the characters physics. To start your character has three possible jumping heights, and some of the levels need the 2nd height to clear which are very awkward to time, you could learn a lineup to avoid this height, but that ruins the gameplay. Falling in this game is the absolute worst because your character gains such an uncontrollable amount of speed that unless you pre-plan the level after dying to it for 10 minutes you cannot do anything with this speed. Moreover, in the more precise levels, sometimes you want to micro-move yourself using left and right, well good luck doing that because double tapping an input gives you a SURGE of speed horizontally if you're holding the second input for .1 of a second longer than you need to, leading to your death again which encourages you to go back to the wall you jumped off of, it feels like everytime you try and take a slightly different route than the only one that a level was designed around you are immediately dead for taking that risk. All these combined make the hardest level of gameplay unenjoyable, I really want to like this game, it just feels like im fighting my own character while trying to navigate through each level, but for 5 dollars, im impressed with the aesthetic of the game and think it has potential, i hope these problems can be navigated.

Got baited by the beautiful graphics and the fact that I... thought I loved platformers? But this was unbearable to me. Levels have very tedious designs where you are expected to do a same type of jump multiple times in a row, and that number is even higher (sometimes DOUBLE) if you aim to go for all coins. It was already tedious for the first worlds but the last one is an atrocity. Every single new level that I achieve to reach I give it a glance and then I roll my eyes up thinking "how long until I nail all these jumps at once". It also doesn't help the fact that the mechanics of the game are really, really unconfortable. Controlling the momentum, especially in the air, is really weird, and the character is addicted to grab walls whenever possible. Timing jumps while tapping is also very unforgiving. I have huge tolerance for many gaming challenges and ESPECIALLY for platformers, which makes this even more surprising to me than any of you, but even after just 5h I can't seem to enjoy a single minute of this. It's only 4,99€ and it has good amounts of polishment, but I can't recommend it when almost the entirety of my gameplay has felt like a chore.

An excellent precision platformer for people who enjoy playing short levels over and over again in order to shave microseconds off their time. My only complaint is that the controls could be a little bit tighter - some of the hardest levels feel like I'm struggling more with the controls than the level geometry.
Alright.
160 levels, only a few are quality interesting levels. Too many "do this one trick, but 15 times" levels that just are annoying.
Precision platforming at its finest.
This game is HARD. It starts off pretty simple, but damn, towards the end the platforming is as precise as can be. The movements feel very fluid, very smooth, the music is beautiful and I didn't really get tired of it even though I spent hours stuck on specific levels . It's a very simple game, simple concept, but executed very well. There is no scenario or story, you have to enjoy just pure platforming for the sake of it.
