Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 21 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

ts is good man
I've felt conflicted in my attempts to try to get into Risk of Rain over the years. It has a really beautiful soundtrack and the sort of visuals that would be right up my alley, however these were not enough to carry otherwise lackluster gameplay. The main way of fighting enemies is to run away from them constantly, only turning around to fire at them when an ability recharges, then either continuing to run or dodge through them to run the other way instead. There is also an in-game timer that makes enemies spawn more frequently and with more HP as time goes on, which makes it so going fast is encouraged. If too much time is taken the game then becomes a Sisyphean task of having to run away, turn to shoot, repeat as enemies take actual ages to kill. I feel the timer was added in part because if it wasn't there, the optimal strategy would be to just whittle enemies health down while running away for as long as possible. This gets to the main point of my issue, in which I can't help but feel difficulty is artificially inflated as a cover for how unengaging the combat actually is. Every few years I would try Risk of Rain again and drop it after a run or two as I never felt challenged in the right way. While I was open to the idea of playing the whole game through to properly judge it in its entirety rather than just the early game, upon trying to launch Risk of Rain in 2026 I was informed I had to accept a EULA for a game I've already owned for nearly a decade already, with a lot of clauses that are unfriendly to the consumer, thus killing any incentive left I had to trying this series again.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 10: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I'm going to *insert illegal term here* this game now that the TOS has changed. F*** the new TOS and EULA. I own the game, obviously, but not playing it via legal means anymore. I appreciate the devs though. They made something amazing, but unfortunately a horrible ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ company owns it.
♥♥♥♥ the new EULA and TOS
It's a game I haven't touched in the past, but I played it again because there was user's Korean patch. It takes about an hour to get to the last step, based on the level of difficulty and my game skill level. Depending on whether or not you use items in the beginning, you can experience hell or heaven. Until then, you will have to unlock items through trial. achievements may take some time if you are unlucky due to the randomly generated maps. All can be achieved on easy difficulty, except that obtaining 15 monster logs is difficult on normal difficulty.
they should make this game 3d like mario 64
Really didn't want to have to do this. I have loved this game since the beginning. Unfortunately, this game has been affected by Take-Two and 2K games (including Gearbox & Rockstar Games) silently updating all their games' Terms of Service, turning this game as well as all of their other games into software capable of data farming. Additionally, their Privacy Policy mentions sharing data with ad networks and marketing analytics; it is very explicit that they intend to farm data from you and use it for frivolous monetary gain. ***While Take‑Two disclaims using "spyware", they explicitly reserve broad permissions to monitor, record, store, and analyze user data: including voice, gameplay, and profiles. That’s not spyware in the "deliberately malicious" sense, but it’s still sweeping surveillance capability permitted by legal provisions you agree to. [READ BELOW for more about Take-Two's update statement regarding the issue] Important Info in Terms of Service: • Unsanctioned mods can be a bannable offense (depending on their arbitrary definition of bannable mods) • Display of Cheats/Exploits is bannable • Forced arbitration clause and a waiver of class action and jury trial rights for all users residing in the United States and any other territory other than Australia, Switzerland, The United Kingdom, or The Territories of The European Economic Area • You can be banned for using a VPN while connecting to online servers • Cannot access game content on a Virtual PC Collected Data Types: • Identifiers / Contact Information: Name, user name, gamertag, postal and email address, phone number, unique IDs, mobile device ID, platform ID, gaming service ID, advertising ID (IDFA, Android ID) and IP address • Protected Characteristics: Age and gender • Commercial Information: Purchase and usage history and preferences, including gameplay information • Billing Information: Payment information (credit / debit card information) and shipping address • Internet / Electronic Activity: Web / app browsing and gameplay information related to the Services; information about your online interaction(s) with the Services or our advertising; and details about the games and platforms you use and other information related to installed applications • Device and Usage Data: Device type, software and hardware details, language settings, browser type and version, operating system, and information about how users use and interact with the Services (e.g., content viewed, pages visited, clicks, scrolls) • Profile Inferences: Inferences made from your information and web activity to help create a personalized profile so we can identify goods and services that may be of interest • Audio / Visual Information: Account photos, images, and avatars, audio information via chat features and functionality, and gameplay recordings and video footage (such as when you participate in playtesting) • Sensitive Information: Precise location information (if you allow the Services to collect your location), account credentials (user name and password), and contents of communications via chat features and functionality. *DISCLAIMER*: T-T/2K/Gearbox has put out a statement regarding the misleading statements surrounding the EULA in their games: "Take-Two generally does not seek to take action against mods that are single-player only, non-commercial, and respect the intellectual property" (1) Take-Two Does Not Use Spyware Take-Two does not use spyware in its games. Take-Two's Privacy Policy applies to all labels, studios, games, and services across all media and platform types such as console, PC, mobile app, and website. The Privacy Policy identifies the data activities that may be collected but this does not mean that every example is collected in each game or service. ***This sounds, to me, an awful lot like: "we won't spy on you or collect your info, we swear. BUT, we reserve the right to per the agreement, y'know, in case we ever did want to." Whether they act on the provisions outlined in their EULA or not, the provisions themselves are unethical.
Good game ruined by ♥♥♥♥♥♥ EULA
Risk of Rain is the only game where I start as a fragile intern with a pea shooter and end up a walking apocalypse with 47 drones, 12 ukuleles, and crippling anxiety about the timer.
