Risk of Rain is an action platformer with roguelike elements. With permanent death as a primary feature, players will have to play their best to get as far as possible. Fight on a mysterious planet with randomly spawning enemies and bosses, either alone or with 3 friends in online co-op.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 21 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I liked this game, but... 2K(Gearbox) has a privacy policy in place that enables them to implement a kernel-level spyware across all of their games, and apparently in some games they already use it. I'm posting it here, to make sure I will never play their crap again. 2K, Gearbox and all related are on my blacklist now.
With publisher going full ♥♥♥♥♥♥ about updating this game it's better to pirate it and play classic game like that. I can't mod my game? ♥♥♥♥ that and ♥♥♥♥ them.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 10: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

There is this old saying about buying and owning....
Random generated micro platformer with much appreciated action combat system. Don't forget to wear your magnifying glass! Explore alien planet, defeat enemies and activate portal to escape. Game is pretty damn hard to be honest and I guarantee you will not complete it on first go. Lots of stuff to gather like drones, weapons etc. Soundtrack is really awesome on this one and you gonna love it. Main con here is that you can nerf enemies from safe distance not taking titular "Risk". Make sure to play Risk of Rain Returns, new and improved version or just jump right into Risk of Rain 2 which is a 3D game with exploration and lots of combat which I recommend with my dwarf grandfather.
yeah, that's right, (ALL) of their games are Data Scrapers now. Errryone of them. No longer can we even enjoy Risk of Rain or RoR2. Don't buy this game. Apparently the game publisher is destroying game with contracts and TOS conditions.
i love the game, eula change from take 2 sucks
There is absolutely no reason for this to have had such a strict EULA added POST RELEASE
Okay so the current review bomb is dumb The new 2K EULA reflects the fact that they primarily develop large-scale online multiplayer games, and is designed to apply more or less entirely to that category. They're not going to spy on people playing small singleplayer games or some ♥♥♥♥ like that with kernel-level anticheats, and Gearbox isn't even directly tied to the EULA change as far as i'm aware. Go piss on 2K's stuff, not Gearbox's. Oh, and the game is a lot of fun. Bigger modding scene than the remake as of the time of writing this, but that's mostly because the remake is still being broken down and bigs mods are still in development. you can poke around other reviews for actual game descriptions
don't listen to the hivemind that panders how horrible gearbox's eula is and how all your data is now theirs and you can be banned at any point. all of em watched one video and ran to fearmonger the masses. game still kinda sux tho, has issues that a 2013 game shouldnt have (crashes on tabbing out, insane controls)
