Spin up a tutorial. First raid occurs. Solo raider kills two pawns. Survivor has a brother who miraculously shows up to help. We limp along and carve out a pathetic life. New day, new raid. We capture this raider after a fight that injures us greatly. Captive is incredibly resistant to being recruited. No biggie, one day through the power of friendship, captivity, and not being executed, he will join us. We continue limping along. Mundane tasks are monumental to our success but trickling in. We might make it! Winter arrives. Crops are ruined. The warden goes out to work and never returns. Her brother back home is in the middle of an extreme mental break. He can not be hassled to go out into the cold and rescue his sister. She dies, alone, hopefully a mental bliss stole her away from the freezing outside world and kept her from realizing her brother wasn't coming to get her. The brother starves and dies, just outside the front door. The prisoner dies days later as I continue to spectate. He was alone, away from his family of raiders. I wonder if he misses them, or if they wonder where he is. I wonder if he never meant to be a raider, but was pushed to do so out of desperation. He almost killed my two pawns a few weeks ago, but surely he took no joy in the act? The game allows me to create 3 new pawns and pick up where my base left off. They bury the dead. They sleep in their beds. They read their books and scavenge and repurpose whatever they find from those before them. One of them has a deep philosophical discussion with the other about life after death. He steps outside into a steel trap I couldn't figure out how to properly configure. 11/10, I am beginning to see why people spend thousands of hours on this game, and I'm only on the tutorial, no mods or DLC.
要不是社区mod这游戏根本不值这价钱。游戏优化也行不,这么个小游戏后期人多就是ppt。

Game so good I bought it after pirating it
I love rimming
이제 나도 남들에게 이 게임을 추천할 자격이 생겼다
Rimworld is great because it offers you many ways to run your colony. It can be the most civilized colony to a cannibal colony where each colonists wears their enemy's skin as a shirt. If you start playing with just the base version, it'll still be a fun experience to play the game. If you want more, there's all sorts of mods to add to the game. But not all mods are accessible right away as some may require DLC's, and DLC's Themselves change quite a lot of things. Want a spaceship? Odyssey DLC. Want horror? We got Anomaly. Want to make your own alien race? Biotech DLC (A must have if you ever plan on buying a DLC imo). One thing you should note to yourself that rimworld is about the journey. There will be triumphs and tragedies. Hell, i had times when one of my colonists died the dumbest way possible. Like that one time, a colonist got crushed by rocks because i forgot to give roof support during mining (whoops). Or when the raider with a revolver got a lucky hit and one tapped my colonist... the colonist was wearing a helmet and a vest and got defeated by a man with a revolver and a beanie... yep.... but even though i could've loaded a save, i didn't. Because it kept things interesting. Only load saves if something rather strange happens (like bugs, etc.)... Or to do something silly. But of course, if you need harsh enforcement on saves, you can always run the permadeath mode. Makes losses that much tragic and the story more captivating. It truly is absolute cinema. 10/10
