Revulsion takes classic Doom and Quake style gameplay and combines it with a loot based shooter. This involves getting better and better weapons and armor as you climb toward the level cap. In addition to that, there is a large amount of potential loot that you can discover to help you along the way.
I'm so starved for looter shooting and this ones not bad at all
The game might be a bit overtuned in difficulty, causing slower gameplay and corner shooting. But death seems to be pretty consequence free, everything just respawns, but your stage completion stays, so you will naturally be able to grind more power while you play. It's a nifty idea to have an open word, missions and a dungeon playstyle open from the get-go. A lot of weapons to try, and after the first mission I'm kitted out with an electric pistol for armored foes, reload free shotgun for close range, sniper for long range and a grenade launcher if I'm feeling chaotic. Out of all these "costs less than a burger" games this might make me the most happy. Honestly if there was weapon or enemy expansions on offer I'd buy them in an instant to support such a simple but does it well game.
Just don't waste money and time for this shіt. RPG elements of this game are it's weakspot which make it annoingly unplayable. Without it this game be much better and thi isn't jocke. All RPG elements are in fact only leveling up without any skills/perk/upgraids and etc. There are four classes... But they are like some sadistic jocke, because playable only one. Playing other classes are like act of ВDSМ. Each levelup lower stats of Your items including guns and make enemies more "fatty" via increasing thier health points and damage. If enemies have not drastical incrementation of health points then Your items degrade crucially. Four levels diference of item with Your actual level lowered it's stats by around 50% or more. And You phisically can't obtain enough resources or actual items to keep it up with Your character level. It meanned that You always underequipped. Game mechanics of actual combat simple and it works, but it not enough to close eye on ♥♥♥♥♥♥ "RPG" which maded only to prolongated playtime... In a bad way. If in some update in future this leveling mechanics will be cuted out - then I can recomend it as fun in it's simplistic shooter, but for now it belongs to the thrashcan.
Je.
Honestly one of the most fun and deceptively deep shooters I've played in a long time. Tight controls, intense atmosphere, decent challenge, fun art style, and interesting world. Absolutely recommend.
Shoot Pixel
Fast paced combat, Quake-ish level design/enemies with some simple but fun RPG elements
A really interesting FPS experience that blends solid gameplay with a neat art style. I'm also positively surprised about the amount of content for the low price.
It's actually really good.
Super Spiel !
