im a CASUAL shoot em up player, but i must say, this game is really rad, is a classic style shoot em up where you can rotate the view up and down to avoid bullets, target enemies in the background or line up enemies to destroy em easily it honestly feels like my brain cells are firing up at 100% capacity when playing this, in gameplay alone this is fantastic, youve never played anything like this now, the game itself has some flaws, the art style is bold, basically everything is a shade of blue and enemies have some red elements to stand out better, this CAN make it a bit difficult to identify enemies and obstacles at first tough second, theres no tutorial, the challenges offer some basics, but this really needed to be formally introduced, took me a second to figure out what was going on, like how to attack enemies in the background, the warning indicator to tell in which direction to rotate the camera to destroy an incoming obstacle offscreen, how the emp and override mode work, etc, is a fairly simply game and there is an ingame manual, but a tutorial wouldve gone a long way third, the game is short, SHOCKINGLY short, "proof of concept" short, short even for shoot em ups i think i remember thinking "wow these 360 degree levels are insane how did they even design this" and the answer is, they only designed 4 levels, and the 4th level is mostly the final boss fight still, these games always thrive on their replayability, and i see myself playing this some more, its incredibly fun
Very cool
Not opening in full screen by default was a mis-step by the devs. It sat in my library for years because of it. That said I started going through old unplayed games and figured it out. I'm very glad I did! This might be my favorite shooter ever! Graphics and game play are top notch. Highly recommended!
雰囲気とBGMが中々良い感じ シューティング下手でも楽しめる
The revolving mechanic is one of the more unique gameplay mechanics in a shmup. This game is also very blue. It's about as blue as HROT is brown. There are numerous branching paths to choose from in each level which adds quite a bit of replayability. One minor gripe here is that things can get pretty hectic at times to the point where damage can feel almost unavoidable (proper use of the revolving mechanic as well as your lasers, EMP pulses and overdrive will usually get you out of harms way or result in you getting damaged less if you position yourself well). Another gripe that I have is with some of the challenges. While some of them are really straight forward, others have downright convoluted solutions to the point of being mildly frustrating to complete. Despite the minor issues here, it is still an easy recommendation if you are a shmup fan. Buy this on sale.
