Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Revenge of the Boxer: Moscow Criminality, developed by Alligator Friends Software and published by Strategy First, is a gritty, retro-inspired beat-’em-up that transports players into the harsh underworld of Moscow’s criminal scene. Originally released in the mid-2000s and later reintroduced on Steam, the game embraces an old-school action formula built around straightforward combat, urban environments, and a revenge-driven storyline. While it does not attempt to reinvent the genre, it offers a nostalgic, arcade-style brawling experience that leans heavily into atmosphere and raw momentum. The story centers on a professional boxer whose life is shattered when he is falsely accused of murder. Stripped of his career and freedom, he is thrown into prison for a crime he did not commit. Refusing to accept his fate, he escapes custody and embarks on a violent quest through Moscow’s criminal underworld to clear his name. This simple but effective premise fuels the action from beginning to end. Rather than presenting a deeply layered narrative, the game uses its revenge plot as a catalyst for continuous confrontations with gang members, corrupt figures, and a colorful cast of street-level adversaries. Gameplay unfolds in a side-view perspective reminiscent of classic arcade brawlers. Players guide the protagonist through various urban environments, engaging in hand-to-hand combat against waves of enemies. The mechanics are intentionally accessible: punches, blocks, dodges, and basic combinations form the core of the combat system. Unlike modern fighting games that emphasize intricate combo trees or layered mechanics, Revenge of the Boxer focuses on timing and positioning. Success often depends on reading enemy movements, choosing when to strike, and maintaining control of crowd situations. The pacing keeps fights energetic, with a steady rhythm that encourages aggressive play while still rewarding cautious defense. The protagonist’s boxing background influences the feel of combat. Strikes carry weight, and the emphasis on close-range fighting reinforces the character’s identity as a trained athlete thrust into street warfare. While enemy AI may not be particularly advanced, encounters gain tension through numbers and varied enemy types. Some opponents rush aggressively, while others hang back, forcing the player to manage spacing and movement carefully. Though the AI can feel simplistic at times, the sheer volume of confrontations maintains engagement. Visually, the game reflects its era with stylized 3D character models and environments presented from a side-on perspective. The art direction captures a gritty urban atmosphere, featuring dim alleyways, industrial zones, and rundown neighborhoods that reinforce the crime-driven narrative. Character designs lean toward exaggerated archetypes, adding personality to the adversaries encountered throughout the campaign. While the graphics do not meet modern standards of detail or fluidity, they carry a distinct charm rooted in early 2000s action titles. The game offers multiple modes to extend replay value. Career Mode drives the narrative forward through successive stages, while standalone battle modes allow players to jump directly into combat scenarios. A local multiplayer option adds further appeal, enabling two players to engage in head-to-head fights. Though the absence of online multiplayer limits its competitive longevity, the inclusion of varied modes ensures there is more than just a linear campaign to experience. One of the game’s defining strengths lies in its accessibility. Controls are straightforward, and players can quickly understand the mechanics without extensive tutorials. This simplicity allows the focus to remain on the visceral satisfaction of landing punches and clearing groups of enemies. At the same time, extended play sessions may reveal repetition in enemy behavior and stage progression. The game does not introduce significant mechanical evolution over time, so enjoyment largely depends on appreciation for its straightforward design. Despite its limitations, Revenge of the Boxer: Moscow Criminality manages to carve out a unique identity. Its setting distinguishes it from more common Western crime narratives, offering a Moscow backdrop that adds cultural texture. The combination of revenge story, street-level combat, and exaggerated characters gives the game a slightly pulpy tone that borders on camp at times. For players who enjoy retro beat-’em-ups and straightforward brawling action, this tone can be part of its appeal. Ultimately, Revenge of the Boxer: Moscow Criminality is a product of its time, delivering a focused and uncomplicated action experience. It may lack the polish and complexity of modern fighting titles, but it compensates with energetic pacing and a clear sense of purpose. For those seeking a nostalgic return to arcade-style combat infused with a gritty urban revenge narrative, it provides a surprisingly engaging ride through Moscow’s criminal underbelly. Rating: 8/10
