Absolutely brilliant! A true must play. A one of a kind game. Slowly piecing together the fates of everyone on the cursed Obra Din is one of the most memorable gaming experiences I've ever had. What a way to tell a story! Can't recommend this one enough!
An awesome mystery/detective game. A simple game at heart with so much thought and care put into it. You see the moment of death of a body and that's it. That's the gameplay. Now piece together this elaborate puzzle on what happened to everyone. I really liked the music and loved how it complemented the different scenes so well. The 1-bit style was also quite unique and pulled off well.

What a ride. Fantastic concept, story, visuals and gameplay. It's so satisfying figuring out all identities, finding clues, and sometimes giving desperate guesses and getting away with it. This is not a puzzle game that needs a guide in any way. Not to say it's not a challenging experience, more so that the challenge is very balanced and doable. Because the story is so cohesive and feels very rewarding to figure out yourself, the puzzle is something that anyone can easily become so engaged with that analyzing every aspect of it is pure joy. I recommend this to basically everyone. My only critique is that the visuals, though beautiful and wonderfully implemented, are something that for people with sensitivities for migraines or seasickness will probably struggle with. They are quite harsh.
It's hard but fun, great art and great solving progress. I can't solve it myself, but playing through guild is still a great novel. An outstanding detective game,

Captain Pope ! J'ai un rapport particulier avec ce Obra Dinn, j'avais adoré Papers Please et pourtant Obra Dinne m'est tombé des mains plusieurs fois. C'est 8 ans plus tard que je suis retombé dedans et quel plaisir. Oui le jeu ne vous prendra pas par la main, le premier quart est vraiment chaud et il faut s'accrocher. Mais quand on est dedans le jeu devient une obsession et on veut compléter ce fichu carnet. Comme Papers Please, ce jeu en inspire d'autres, pour notre plus grand bonheur. Lucas Pope est vraiment le capitaine du jeu indé !
While it is one hell of an experience for what it is, when I opened up the journal I conjured up a more varied and interesting story than what I ended up getting, so there was some sense of disappointment especially if you've read a lot of these "lost ship odyssey" stories.
best game ever give 300 more asap i need. not a want. a need. i am sherlock holmes and im going to marry william james moriarty from moriarty the pateriot in order to have his hand in marriage i need to train. and i need more games exactly like this. in order to train. totally took mwe 13 minurtes to finish and no i didnt take 13 hours to figure it out.
