Return of the Heir

My quick, 30 minute impressions: It's a reasonably well-done puzzle platformer. The controls are decent for the most part, although the sliding under walls could use some fine-tuning. The graphics and sound are both fine. It supported my Logitech F310 gamepad with no problems. There are few frustrating things at first, until you get used to them. Rats at your feet that you can't kill because you can't aim up or down, arrows that come from enemies that are off-screen with little warning, and spikes out of the ground with no obvious indication they are there. You get 5 lives with 3 HP each to start, then can get more lives apparently, according to one of the patch notes in the forum. When the lives are gone, you start over. That is the main reason that I probably won't play this any more. I have become very intolerant of redoing content in any game. I can deal with the cheap deaths, but not if it means starting over...and over...and over. Yes, I saw "Roguevania" in the tags, but it was on sale for $1.24 so It was worth a try. And this is why I am still giving it a recommend. If you can deal with starting over as you learn where the spikes and arrows are, then it is a fun game.

If you want a challenge this game is definitely for you. The creators give you 12 lives and a way to earn extra lives throughout, but this game gets a good bit harder as you progress and having to start over when you're really far in the game just sucked the will to beat it out of me to be honest. I don't want to have to run around and collect all of the items all over again because I suck at the game or some enemy was sniping me off screen when i didn't have jump room. The obstacles in the game change color with the background too which hindered me a lot at the start I kept missing chains that were in areas, spiders, etc. and these mistakes pile up until you have to restart the whole game. It's a good homage to older 2d platformers so I definitely recommend this game for people who enjoy that struggle.

Great little game. Charming graphics and simple gameplay. Later the game does get a bit more difficult, but i wouldnt say its hard. Level design is great, you have to find items throughout the castle and unlock doors etc. Well worth the asking price and a great game overall. Recommend

An interesting game in which there is a well-painted story and purpose of the game. In this game you have to go through everything carefully because there are not so many lives and if they end then you need to go through everything again. Control in the game is simple and clear, music and graphics at a good level. In general, I liked the game and it was interesting to play but a little difficult to pass.

Platformowa gra 2D nawiązująca do dobrze znanych klasyków. Fani tego typu produkcji na pewno będą zadowoleni. Na plus należy zaliczyć brak monotonii, każdy kolejny poziom wymaga od gracza logicznego myślenia i pewnych umiejętności związanych z rozgrywką. Gra na pewno nie należy do najłatwiejszych i może wciągnąć w świat łucznika na długie godziny.

Bardzo ciekawa platformówka, ale muszę przyznać że trudna, ale lubię takie :)

Return of the Heir to nie lada wyzwanie z uwagi na nacisk na elementy zręcznościowe. Musimy tu wykazać się odpowiednim refleksem. Średniowieczny klimat oferuje świetną i tajemniczą przygodę, w której ruszamy na ratunek swojej rodzinie, choć niestety po utracie swoich kompanów. W cut scenkach widać postacie ze starannie wykonanymi rysami. Podczas gry elementy dekoracji i oświetlenie pomieszczeń wpadają w oko. Przyjemny soundtrack jest odpowiednio dobrany do danego poziomu w grze. Same lochy są bardzo różnorodne, przez co wyczekiwałem przejścia na kolejne poziomy.

Efektowne oświetlenie oraz efekty specjalne upiększają nam lokacje, oraz budują klimat. Poziom zróżnicowania kolejnych etapów jest zmienny, natomiast elementy dekoracyjne są zsynchronizowane tematycznie i pięknie zespajają całość. Celem gry jest odszukanie i uratowanie członków naszej rodziny. Dla gracza poszukującego wyzwania i miłującego się w platformówkach jest to strzał w dziesiątkę!
