Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 18.71/day in the week to Aug 7 → 26.43/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This a fun relaxing game. It has so much potential to do so much more. I Really wish we could interact with the other stores around us. Maybe even buy them and run them. It would be cool if that was l feature to unlock after getting everything in your store. Could get another good employee to do the little things i do when not doing returns or checking out while you run the other stores across the way. It would also be cool if when you get a customer that wants to throw your stuff for charging them a fee you could ban them or charge them anyways or something like that. Ill be honest there were a few i wanted to hit for throwing my stuff lol. It would also be cool if we could interact with the customers that are just browsing. help them find something good. Even get video game rentals to be able to rent out. This is a fun and relaxing game and i really enjoyed playing and cant wait to see what else they can do with it with updates. It has the potential to be so much more fun and so much more then just another store game to run.

It's not a super deep or complex game, but what it does it does well. You're not building a ginormous business empire, you're setting up a friendly (or not so friendly) local video joint, and it nails the brief. Some will appreciate the whole retro thing, but the stupid customer interactions are also true to life. Customer, standing in front of the new release shelves which still have plenty of copies: "Hey, have you got any copies of [NEW RELEASE]" C'mon, dude, use your eyes, I'm busy here. A little grindy at times, sure, but setting up the store and then seeing punters come in and do... things like rent two copies of the same movie... why. Or throw a tantrum over being charged a late fee. Or when you think you've rung up the last customer but then they want POPCORN and you just want them to get lost so you can rearrange the shelving layout again. Or when your employee falls asleep on their feet in the horror section stacking returns and you have to prod them awake. Always something to do, at least until you max out your unlocks. (the devs say there's more coming, tho)
This is a lot of fun! Great simulator game, accessible and intuitive UI. Great progression. Movie titles are hilarious. Authentically 90s! Love it!
Awesome chill game. Build your own movie rental store. I just started it and Ive done 7 hours already in one day LOL! Reminds me of Blockbuster.....the good old days....
very fun game to play when wanting to relax
Why not
Good mindless fun.
A very fun game. It brings out some nostalgia being in a video store and running the cash register. Plus the dev updates adding new things to enjoy. For the price this game is well worth it. 10/10
This game is so much fun! Chill and engaging. Very impressed with the amount of gameplay this early in the release. A lot of content and a great game the developers can continue to update. Looking forward to more content soon please!!
I never went to Blockbuster or anything similar, but I did learn how to operate a VCR before I could speak. So, I get what this game is trying to do, and I absolutely loved it. I have a soft spot for this kind of supermarket management games, and one set in the 90s, where I can rent VHS tapes of absolute masterpieces such as 'My Cow Juice, Her Desire' really sealed the deal for me.
