Retro Rewind - Video Store Simulator

Riktigt roligt spel. Sparkade dock dom anställda direkt efter att ha fått den prestationen då dom var värdelösa oavsett deras "nivå" på diverse kategorier. Hoppas på uppdatering med fler nivåer och fler saker att låsa upp.

Relaxing and charming but pretty repetitive, as most of the mechanics are pretty shallow and the flow of the game doesn't change much even as you unlock new stuff. Also, it's really annoying that there is no way to tell the return station worker how to sort the movies, aside from genres. Can recommend it to people who enjoy simple simulation games that pretty much don't challenge the player.

Retro Rewind is a gem and a nsotalgia trip. If you grew up in the 1990s looking forward to weekend trips to Blockbuster video than this will be trip down memory lane. You can almost feel the plastic of the VHS cases and smell the candy. Retro Rewind is a fun trip for 30 to 40 hours. Blood Pact Studios seem to be adding on to the late game. I wish we could get some more movie genres, such as foreign and documentaries. Finally, some DLC around renting video games would be awesome!

Finally a sim that is not just another unity asset flip with the same boring mechanics. The game is so charming, cosey and generally relaxing to play. Up there with TCG sim as the best sim games around

MANAGER'S REPORT — Week 47 Sales are up. Morale is down. Kevin quit again — that's the third time this month. Someone returned Rocky IV with peanut butter on the tape and I don't want to know why. The Tape Dealer came by with a "special release." I did not ask questions. I never ask questions. A woman rented Dirty Dancing seven times this month. I don't know if she's okay. I don't know if I'm okay. Business is booming. My store is beautiful. I've forgotten what sunlight feels like. Would recommend to any aspiring video store magnate. 10/10 tapes rewound.

After playing the demo, I was unsure whether to buy the full version, because I was afraid recurring tasks like checkout or working the returns might become tedious. And while there is some repetition (it's a job simulator after all), so far the game has offered enough variety and sense of progress to stay enjoyable. Being able to hire an employee after a few days is really important though. The devs have made an effort to make everything feel fluid and smooth - when time is tight, you can effortlessly sprint through your store and quickly switch between tasks. No bumping into customers, no mis-clicking, no waiting times when manning a task/station. I would have loved a business management / data analysis angle - check which movies and snacks are most popular and so on. But I guess as far as game mechanics go, the game is already pretty rich.
