Retro Rewind - Video Store Simulator

I worked at BlockBuster in real life. That was more fun, but this is pretty cool too. Definitely brought back some memories!

Brilliant Game- Brings me back to my 1995 times and with all these mods adding Classic films to the game and old Adverts just give me chills 10/10

Was a fun game to enjoy. The start was hard but than it was really fun and interesting. I loved decorating my store how I wanted it and make sections in the late game excluvily "for adult" and so on. I also loved the many many movie titles and how the "dealer" was handled. I just wished it was longer than 24 levels. I wil lcome back another time for replaying but for now after getting all achievments I am finished and can gladly recommend it.

The best of all shop simulators. Some improvements: - The progression system is not good. It's the same as all the other Simulators. For some reason you gain XP every day and things automatically unlock. This system is fundamentally flawed and takes away player-agency. Let players decide what genres to unlock with points or money. Let players decide when its is economically viable to hire staff. Level 20 for the second staff-person? Seriously? I unlocked the second person on the last 10% of the playthrough and I could have afforded them after the first 2 hours. The solution is to give players freedom what to unlock and to have the shop gain reputation-points with which you unlock better staff-options, more customers, legendary customers with specific needs that need to be fulfilled, etc Or have an talent-tree for XP where you can level up employee-speed/efficiency, reduce prices for buying movies, receive more tips, less customers crashouts over late-fees, specializing in specific genres, etc So much can be done other than the current copy-paste boring, monotone, crippling progression-system. -Every movie should have a designated, memorized spot on a shelf. Not sure how possible this is to implement, but this would definitely improve the experience. Also, shelves should have sub-categories like Good, Bad, Old. Spaghetti-Shelves as they currently are, are ok-ish, but not very satisfying.
