RestorArt: Horizon Bay Collector's Edition

We play the role of an excellent restorer, summoned by Sofie the "Curator" because intruders have damaged and burned the paintings in the Art Gallery. You'll visit 3 towns: Rosehill, Ravenwood, and Silvergrove. In each, you'll have to complete missions for customers. Our task is to reconstruct the paintings by attaching one piece at a time and overlapping it in the right place. As if by magic, you'll see the drawing take shape before your eyes. Of course, you'll receive a monetary reward for your work; these coins will be used to furnish your personal study, with a choice of antique or modern furnishings. The idea of ​​matching the stamps that will be eliminated until you see the whole picture is nice, but even more fun is removing all the Stickers from the board to find out what is hidden; also we could color a painting using numbers, each color corresponds to a number. The music is a very pleasant and relaxing masterpiece to listen to while restoring. The graphics are excellent, it will allow you to take beautiful screenshots that will amaze your friends. There is no shortage of extra content: 6 levels with Jigsaw Puzzle, Stickers search, Stamp match, Switch puzzle and other paintings to discover, which will allow you to collect enough money to complete your Atelier. And after all this work, for each completed category you will receive a nice certificate that will be hung on the wall!!! There is no shortage of satisfaction!!! The latest RestorArt mostly follows in the footsteps of the first game. You've now gotten some extra notice for your restoration of artworks in the previous game, and now there are customers in a new part of the country wanting your services. There are about 105 levels total, spread out over 3 cities, in which you will be restoring art by either reassembling fragments of images, removing stickers or stamps stuck onto drawings (pick-2 clutter games), or "improving" an artwork (by removing objects from the image, aka a HOS). Every once in a while, you will meet someone who wants you to solve a puzzle to reveal a hidden sculpture or other artifact (arrow block slider puzzle). A few random customers want you to create custom artwork where you will be doing an electronic version of paint by numbers. You get "money" from each job you finish, which is used to furnish your latest workspace. I did like that you once again have a choice between traditional or contemporary decor for your office. There are no Steam Achievements, but you do have 6 in-game achievements which are of the play-long-enough sort. The CE extras are 24 bonus levels comprising a mixture of traditional jigsaw puzzles, swap-2 slider puzzle variant, more pick-2 clutter games, HOS variant where you remove stickers gradually, and reassembling images from fragments. Other CE extras include a bonus story, which gradually unlocks as you play through the main game, and a music player where you can play all the game tracks. The graphics are AI-generated, but I play games to have fun, so as long as I'm enjoying the gameplay, doesn't matter to me how the developer makes their graphics; besides, the images are quite pretty, so the developer's got good taste. About half of the game is of the restoring images from fragments type games. The other half is mostly the HOS and pick-2 clutter games. I'd have liked to see more of the arrow slider puzzles, but I think there were only 9 in the whole game. Three different difficulty levels to play in; on the harder modes, there's a mistake counter or a timer, and the pick-2 clutter games plus the paint-by-numbers games have more pairs to sort out or more colors to "paint" in hard mode. The timer is pretty aggressive on the hardest difficulty and took me a few attempts to do some of the timed levels in hard mode. Something which I really couldn't get into is all the "video calling" dialog. Despite your increased fame, you're apparently still too broke to afford an unlimited cellular plan, so you're still on WiFi constantly and your poor phone is *constantly* charging the battery while you're on video calls with your customers (OK, OK, I know those graphics were done that way most likely to avoid unintentional advertising for some mobile carrier). But all those AI-generated "conversations" look fake and are just bogging down the game. Don't know why this interface was brought back from the first RestorArt - would have been simpler and made more sense to just have text messages, or plain old phone calls where you're just hearing a person's voice, if you're an artist who doesn't have a steady paycheck? And there's a "loading" screen appearing in between every single level, where it takes a little bit for any level to load while you're looking at kitten or puppy photos. Sure, the kittens and puppies are cute, but don't have anything to do with the game otherwise; makes me wonder if the game engine is groaning along trying to run the game. If you enjoy jigsaw puzzles and hidden object games, worth checking out because it's different enough from the usual HOGs to not be just another HOG. And it's mostly relaxing eye candy great for decompressing after a long day, except for those timed levels in hard mode. The bonus coins which appear every so often seem to be easier to pick up as I didn't miss as many this game as I did in the first one, but that may just be me.

Like all the others Mixo game, this one is very polished. The graphics are high end, the music loop pleasant, the hidden objects levels are not trivial, but the objects are clearly visible. The reconstructed pieces are all very artistic, a treat for the eyes. The puzzles are interesting and of good difficulty. Highly recommended.

The graphics are simply beautiful . This is a fun, relaxing game to play when the world gets too complicated. Puts you in a very visual, colorful ,peaceful world.
