The residents were adequately evil
Let me start off with the undeniable fact this is and will reach top 5 RE Games. From the Eerie yet sinister Care clinic atmosphere, to the ghostly streets racoon City the atmosphere at all times is Impeccable. OG Fans of the franchise who may be returning for this installment, just like walking in the the RPD for the first time in 1998, that lovely piano theme is back! This story may very well be the send off the series needed for the spencer saga. But this doesn't come with out some well deserved criticism I will leave this off with one major one the Boss fights! Nearly if not, all the bosses play out like a generic boss fight thus leaving them for entirely bland and antilclimactic. Not only that but they are quick even the finale! I would even go as far as to say it is the weakest part of the entire game. Dare I say the weakest in the entire franchise, IM EYEBALLING YOU RE 3 REMAKE! If you are playing purely for bosses and action elements akin to re4 (both versions) you may be left wanting more and even feel let down. All in all, they did this game right and it deserves praise for its over 6 year long development cycle making it the 2nd longest in the franchise bringing in a cinematic product called Resident Evil Peakmium!
Muy bueno, pero como siempre lo mejor son los mods NSFW.
хорошая игра я посрал
I enjoyed Requiem, but not as much as RE:7. RE:7 was a return to the horror roots. Requiem tries to blend both sides of Resident Evil - the horror and the action. The result is somewhat good. I liked playing with Grace a lot, that is where the horror element comes from. But also, it's not as scary when compared to other titles. I do not want to spoil, but there are moments where Grace is truly powerless, and moments when things become trivial. There is also no persistent threat like there is most of the time in RE:7. Here, for the most part, anything you see as Grace, you can kill. Sometimes easily. The action sequences come with Leon - initially, they are rather short, allow you to catch your breath. The second half of the game is almost entirely Leon and I it does get tiresome. First, they bet on nostalgia a lot. May work for some, for others don't. Kind of worked on me. What didn't work is Leon. I like Leon as a character, but here, he's been mostly turned into an anime character or some Hollywood action star, almost anything he says is a catch-y one liner. I got really tired of that. Whereas Grace is written much better. So: - first half of the game - very good; - second half of the game - somewhat good. I'd recommend other titles, if you have not played them - RE:2 (remake) and RE:7. Especially RE:2 since you visit a lot of the same locations. Requiem pays a lot of homage to it. And to other Resident Evil games, there is a lot of fan service.
