Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Republic of Pirates is a pirate-themed city-builder and real-time strategy game. Set during the Golden Age of Piracy, it combines the economic management of games like Anno 1800 with naval warfare and diplomacy in a Caribbean setting. The game's greatest strength is its economic system. Players establish settlements across multiple islands, manage production chains, and expand their pirate republic through careful resource management. The progression feels rewarding, with over 100 buildings and numerous economic pathways available. Sea shanties, Caribbean architecture, colorful characters, and a lively presentation help sell the fantasy of running a pirate nation. The art direction and soundtrack create a relaxing yet adventurous atmosphere. While the economic systems are enjoyable, experienced strategy fans may find them less complex than genre leaders. Production chains and logistics are streamlined, sometimes making progression feel predictable. Republic of Pirates is a charming and enjoyable city-builder that successfully captures the fantasy of creating a pirate republic. Its blend of economic management, naval combat, and Caribbean atmosphere makes it appealing for fans of strategy games who want something lighter than Anno. However, its simplified systems and repetitive late-game structure prevent it from reaching the heights of the genre's best titles. This game is tons of fun. Until you realize there are a ton of ship components you cant craft. You just have to rely of the love of rngesus to find them. Also you are limited to a few ships at any one time. So after spending hour upon hour gathering materials to build your massive fleet of 8 whole ships you are finally ready to watch them sit and do nothing but watch as a single pirate comes and burns the whole island to the ground
After playing a few hours, this game is basically Anno 1800 with a pirate skin. If you like Anno, you will like this game.
What a game! My dreamgirl found it for me here on Steam and bought it. and I am lucky she did. This simulation game is so much fun! First playthrough was in "easy mode" and it is easy enough to learn how the game works, but also hard enough to not feel grindy. The player will be nicely guided into the different things one has to take care of, the different "classes" of citizens and also the other parties involved. The story is well written and nicely narrated. Two things are a little annoying though (not gaem breaking): "grouping" of buildings (accidently deleted many buildings that should have been saved!) and the marking of road tiles when upgrading it. The later mentioned system is weird - the angle of road tiles marked is not the same as the angle of the road (why?). Otherwise a wonderfully made game, stable, nice story, good loot and: (HARR HARR!) pirates! strong recommendation for this one.
Note: I picked this up during a sale for sub £10. If you're wondering about picking it up, please pick it up during a sale honesty. For what it is, essentially a pirate's version of Anno, it's rather fun in all. That being said, it feels unfinished. Nothing really noteworthy to mention from a mechanics point of view other than it just feels unfinished, The features as they currently stand, feels like it could be more. This game, as of writing this review is a little over two years old. It's good for what it is. If you've played Anno, consider giving this ago with a clear mindset.
Game was ok, I would suggest Anno over this. Some of the reviews mentioned that it felt like a demo, and I would have to agree. Just isn't much depth to the game or mechanics, it felt like a point a click for ships. Not much to resource management other then stop and pause to manage supply Other then that, no game issues and it ran fine. Play if you want somethign relatively easy
This is an excellentt game for those who love Ano, but hate the complexity. Fun and easy to learn the basics. Also having a Demo availkable is great. I could p[lay for a bit, decide I liked it, then bought the full version. I coukld even carry on from the demo's save game.
