Pretty fun little anomaly finding game. The atmosphere is creepy, but nothing super scary or in your face. Some of the scenarios, I was asking myself "Is this giving me a fright?". I feel that maybe instead of asking whether something is frightening, I should have been asking if something was odd, or out of place. But, it was entertaining and there are achievements aplenty for everyone to earn, so I give it a thumbs up!
PRODUCT RECEIVED FOR FREE I played this game for just over an hour and lost count on the attempts I made to get home and I did get up to Street 7 once, but I went back to Street 1, just as I thought I understood how the maze worked! Is it bugged? I tried every single combination but nothing seemed to work and I must confess that I did not understand all the images we were being shown and how we should link them with anything we needed to do. The game is very dark and could do with some "Setting" options for people so that they can see and hear things more clearly, maybe that will help. I have to summarise and say that I would not recommend this game to anyone as it does not feel finished, it feels more like a demo and not a full product, it's very basic and needs more information for those who are not familiar with this type of horror story, like "Exit 8", which people are referring this game to.
Es otro juego de bucles en busca de anomalías. Me ha costado un poco pillarle el tranquillo, pero en 13 minutos me lo he terminado. Como juego de anomalías, me ha gustado porque es un poco diferente, pero el precio me parece demasiado elevado.
A good anomaly game with some good moments. I'm not prone to scares, but there was one that got me... Good graphics and sound qualities. The mechanics are easy to learn. Overall a good game for a quick stream session. My viewers liked it, and they are very terror-oriented. Thanks for the chance to test it, I love this kind of game! Try it and tell me on the comments what you think...
Mierdón de juego
I tried but couldn't make it home it is a difficult game to master others say the clues right in front of you WHERE? Jumpscares well i can't comment on them as didn't receive 1 and the game over could be the best of them all but it just isn't. it's made well i.e graphics, atmosphere and suspense but it didn't appeal to me. I do think the idea of the game is great but with abit more work this could be a true classic. Thank you for letting me experience this game i did enjoy it even though it got my brain working more than it usually does lol.
I had much fun playing the game! It had spooky elements and good jumpscares. I was trying to get all achievements in one sitting but game refuses to give me the last 3 achievements xD Game is awesome, funny and spooky! Definitialy recommended
It does give the spooky scary feeling and got my anxiety up, but I did try to get to the end and beat the game but I also had other games lined up for stream that day, I tried going left and tried solely going right but I got very confused all in all it's a good game regardless!
A horror game set in 1980s Japan normally is right up my alley but, While it had some solid ideas, I found my experience with it lacking and ultimately unfulfilling. Pros: ✔️ Atmospheric Setting: The eerie streets and environments did a good job of setting an unsettling mood. I appreciated the visual effort that went into capturing the dark tone. ✔️ Interesting Concept: The premise had promise, and the idea of navigating this mysterious world was intriguing at first. ✔️ Aesthetics: The game's retro-inspired look and feel added a layer of charm to the horror experience. Cons: ❌ Unfulfilled Potential: The game introduced several cool ideas but never really followed through. I kept waiting for moments of payoff that just didn’t come. ❌ Repetitive Gameplay: Progression felt monotonous, as the game lacked variety in its mechanics and objectives. ❌ Short and Unsatisfying: The story felt like it ended abruptly, leaving me with more questions than answers and no real sense of resolution. While Remnants of the Macabre had potential, my time with it felt like a half-effort. It left me wanting more depth, polish, and payoff. For a horror game, it lacked the impact needed to stick with me after I finished.ial. Score: 3 out of 10 haunted lanterns—A dim journey through shadows that fails to fully illuminate its path. 🏮
This one was kind of a toss-up for me. I ended up going with yes, but there are some significant cons here. It's spooky and creative and an enjoyable experience. My viewers and friends enjoyed it when I livestreamed it, which is definitely a plus. We'll see how the video I'm uploading performs, but regardless of all that, it's *good*...or maybe just okay, idk. There are a handful of moments that stuck out as original and a few scares that really got me. There were even a couple non-jump scares that raised my hackles! However, I ran into several weird spacial/movement glitches that confused me the first (failed) time through and actually broke my second run, requiring a restart. The biggest problem, however, is just that it doesn't quite hold the same charm as other Exit 8-types I've played (Exit 8 included). It's spooky and has some real cool "anomalies," but they don't quite slap the way Platform 8 does or Shinkansen 0 did. It doesn't quite form its own identity here. There's a good backbone or foundation here, if you will, but it needs more sinew and flexibility. I'm still looking forward to seeing more from Starpixel Studios, but I definitely hope to see a little more polish and care in future spooks from an undeniably talented studio. There's serious potential here.
