Full Review available here: https://treatyourgeek.co.uk/relic-odyssey-ruins-of-xantao-review/ Relic Odyssey: Ruins of Xantao is a semi-roguelike, semi-survival, semi-dungeon crawler game in early access on Steam from new indie developer Honour Bound Games. I’m generally quite a fan of games like these, so I was interested to see how this title combined all these facets and if it could form a cohesive experience. In all, Relic Odyssey: Ruins of Xantao is very much a skeleton at present. While there is a clear vision in mind for what the game will be, and it has a decent foundation to build from, this certainly feels more like an alpha build than a beta. It starts strong but after the first two hours the cracks really start to show and the game balance leads to a frustrating and eventually boring experience. I can see a lot of potential in this game and with more updates I hope to see this game flourish and live up to the dreams of its developers. However, there is not enough here yet for me to be able to recommend it. 2/10
Relic Odyssey offers a refreshing experience for both casual and seasoned gamers alike. Its blend of exploration, crafting, and combat creates an engaging gameplay loop that keeps you hooked from the start. The introduction of the glove mechanic adds a unique twist, allowing players to manipulate both enemies and resources, making every encounter feel dynamic and satisfying. Exploring the diverse environments and delving into mini lab dungeons adds depth to the game, with each victory yielding valuable rewards for crafting better gear and weapons. The companions, particularly Clunky, inject humor and personality into the journey, enriching the overall experience. Visually, Relic Odyssey shines with its unique art style and captivating enemy designs, reminiscent of beloved titles like Subnautica and Outer Wilds. While the sound design could use a bit more polish, the solid game mechanics and lack of bugs make for a smooth gameplay experience. Despite some minor drawbacks such as the lack of a proper tutorial and localization issues, Relic Odyssey remains an enjoyable indie gem worth exploring. With promises of future updates and enhancements, the potential for this game to evolve into something truly special is undeniable. Craft, magic, shooting, and puzzle-solving converge in Relic Odyssey, offering players a memorable journey through the Ruins of Xantao. I recommend giving this fun indie title a try, as it already shows great promise in its early access stage.
First 20 Minutes Gameplay Here First is first: I love it when I'm stranded on an alien planet and just kill all the wildlife I encounter :p -on the other hand- A captivating indie FPS that blends exploration, crafting, and combat. The versatile glove mechanic and resource-rich environments make for engaging gameplay. Clunky, although helps you with gathering and/or some other things got on my nerve sometimes! the game has great graphics, and the general story improvement keeps you playing. A game which will definitely be played for a long time. Thumbs Up!

интересная игра с захватывающем сюжетом, провёл время с кайфом.
I don't know what to compare this game to, but I like the dynamic and colorful nature of it. Also liked the graphics quite a lot, for such an indie game it's pretty good

I played the demo version first, to make sure it's not another early access scam where there is a "buy" button but the only thing you can see is the menu. with the stipulation that it's an EARLY ACCESS!!111111 (scam) l0l. ;0 but no, everything is good here. except for one thing - no co-op :( . 3.5/5 waiting for the release)
A bazooka?! Ooh, looks like it's gonna be an optimistic day :D
