Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 5 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's a good and inexpensive TD. There are many heroes, gacha, and a talent tree. There is a grind, but I don't consider it a negative aspect. However, I can mention the imbalance in the quality of heroes. Some blue heroes are stronger and more useful than epic heroes.
Was looking foward for this game, but it is actually incredibly short, if u played it for a few hour u actually played the entire game, there is a prestige system there, but honestly, it is all of the same, there are no new buildings, no new mechanics, no new heroes. A lot of the progression is locked behind gems, that for some reason have a daily cap, that is actually really small, on a single player offline game... For reference, u can get around 300 to 500 gems each day, but upgrades cost around 100 to 200, and I'm talking about early upgrades, it gets expensive later. Not sure what the dev have in mind for this game, it seems that he added the Prestige portion just to extend the play time without putting effort in it.
Good time killer
I wish there was a mid review. I enjoy it for what it is, but my god this is a VERY idle game. I wish steam would use incremental more because it sounds dumb to say that an "idle" game is bad because you idle a lot in it. Like sure I get it, some games are just like that, I don't really enjoy that style and prefer more active incremental games; but for Refence you can't really fully idle, you have to click on some stuff to progress. Even stuff like speeding up the game a bit so that the waves go by faster is a step by step unlock with a pretty steep price. If they do an overhaul of the progress and maybe either speed up the combat or just shrink how many waves there are, it would be a much better game. Right now it is super super grindy with no real way to "idle" progress, so it just feels weird how little there is to do actively.
This is basically a screen saver game. You have it on instead of a screen saver. Just having it repeat in the background otherwise because it really is an offline style game. I feel like the game could use a bit more development with more unique styles and more combinations and maybe even more progression but at the end of the day, it was a fun game early on, more of a grind later on. It has a lot of afk options though since it is more of a screen saver than anything else. So yeah, if you want a game that is nearly playing itself, this might be it for you.
Fun incremental game. Not sure why people are complaining that it takes too long or progress is too slow - I think it's just right...There are plenty of ways to get resources to advance, and there's a good, steady pace. Doesn't feel too easy, and it doesn't feel too slow. Definitely worth the cup of coffee or so it costs.
This is not a game that you will enjoy if you don't like idler games. Almost all the negative reviews appear to be from players who didn't give the game a chance to let it shine. Is there room for improvements? Yes! But it's playable and has a lot of depth once you get further in on the research tree. It's going to take a long time to get there. It's worth every penny to me. I would like to see a few more updates to flesh out some bugs and add more heroes and content overall. But if you like idler games, be patient and you might just end up liking it.
