I was a beta tester for Reap and Sow and this was such an honor for me <3 As a long-time fan of MrFishess'es games ( and a huge simp for Jak) I was super excited to test this game early (I didn't find that many bugs, but I think I've played through 90% of the content) and it didn't dissapoint, it's so good, demons are hot as hell! And most of the guests are too xD Also my jaw dropped when I saw that spicy scenes are animated!! I just wish there was an ending where Jak could crush me with his pecs killing me instantly..............
Story/Plot: Reap and Sow is a game where you go to a party and instead get roped into summoning a demon. The demon wants you to find some sacrifices to get on their good side. Of course, this can be easier said than done. As far as plots go, it is at least a little different than your normal visual novel. I actually liked it, as well as the different number of people you interact with. I just wish it was a bit longer. Visuals: This game has a distinct visual style. The first thing you notice is that it is mostly black and white and shades in between. It might even be a metaphor on whether you are good or evil. It certainly helps it stand out, and I actually like it. The other thing is it isn't your typical anime/manga style, which is usually par for the course for visual novels. Another thing that was good is that it has a robust character creator system. Admittedly, it is pre-rendered sprites, but you can change eyes, hair style, etc. as well as body type. It is quite robust for a visual novel, and if this dev makes another game, I'd love to see it done elsewhere. Gameplay: This is a visual novel, so gameplay basically consists of choices, and seeing where it leads you. Some of the endings can be good, bad, or neutral/boring. I mean, if you leave the party early, you don't exactly have a lot going on. Sound/Music: There are plenty of sounds and music in the game. Some of it may be storebought, but if so, it works very well. Difficulty: This game isn't very difficult, especially if you make saves at various branching points. And since it uses the RenPy engine, if you hold tab, you can speed past previous text you already saw. Extras/Achievements: This game has Achievements, but only one triggered for Steam. It has a gallery where you can see some of the characters, but nothing really stands out. Recommendation: Would I recommend this? That is a hard one. As I said, I really like the character creator, and teh story is different enough that I like. In the end I would say yes, though as I mentioned earlier, I would have liked more story. I didn't mind the price of $12.99, but some people would want more for paying for that.
A really cool game! I like how the demons are portrayed there - dangerous and seductive creatures, that have their own agenda - not your friends, even when you think they are. This image is rare in the modern pop art, unfortunately.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm jakkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
i never write reviews but mr fishes deserves it for all the work he and JD put in! i LOVE this game as a huge fan of fishes work this hits every mark! the story is amazing and so are the characters even the side characters have fun little storys to go with them all. the art and everything about this game is beautiful and there is so many endings and side character stuff that will keep you busy for hours which i quite enjoy!! all that to say this game is amazing and is by far one of my favorites so far!
This game is amazingg!!! I love all the characters, especially Jak and Chad lol. And the art style is perfect <3. The story in general is great as well, especially the steamy scenes ;). I highly recommend this game and I can't wait to draw these guys :3
I enjoyed my time playing this game! I think that the price is more than reasonable given the time & dedication put into making this and I was happy to pay it. I've gotten all the achievements, I think I'm only missing a couple of cg's from Sow's route. Scott is my favorite !
Replayability, amazing art, interesting characters, and a wildly fun concept! If you like having a good laugh, piecing together interesting lore, and getting engrossed in trying to figure out the best course of action in a game this is definitely for you. So many characters to interact with and get conflicting feelings for, many opportunities to play god with peoples lives, all while trying not to make a fool of yourself at the biggest party of the new year. The art is charming and the story feels really fun and fresh. The characters are so lively and fun to talk to sometimes it can feel hard sacrificing them, but sometimes we do what we must for our hot demon friends :)
i wish i liked the game, but it just wasn't my cup of tea...for 13 dollars you'd think the game would be a bit more refined and better written, and your choices would actually lead somewhere. a lot of choices just lead to dead ends, so whats the point of giving us options that don't lead to anything ?? I refunded the game in less than like ten minutes. for the content it has, the price paid for it wasn't really worth it :(
its cool but kinda short. after happy finale couldve been more acts tbh
