Unfortunately I don't think this is ready yet. Not terrible but I think it needs more time. I found I was unable to complete the tutorial thanks to some janky input mapping not letting me counterpunch. The training suffers from the same issue with some of the prompts not matching up to the correct inputs. With a little more work this could be... decent. But feels a bit simplistic to be a truly good boxing game. Might look at this again down the line but for now I'll grab a refund.
The first part was much better. There's no feeling of body weight or impact force. All the best aspects of the first part have been removed, including repetitions, relevance of training, and more. At the beginning, you're given a lot of experience points, allowing you to level up to invincibility. However, the gameplay is dull and uninteresting.
I purchased this game when it was on sale for $4.99. I figured for that price if it was bad, then at least I wouldn't be out much. Playing this on Steam using a PC is a disappointing experience. I've never played the mobile versions, so I can't say if those are any better or worse. I wanted to point out some major gameplay flaws but will add some high points. THE BAD! For starters, it is ridiculous that the player is stuck with the name "ENEMY" and cannot change it. The player should be able to name their boxer whatever they choose. It looks like there is or was a profile option on mobile versions and that is where you can change the boxer's name. This feature is not available in the PC version through Steam though. There should also be an option to create more than one boxer. This would add better replay value to the game. An interesting twist would be to incorporate the boxers you create into the roster of boxers that you have to defeat but this feature should be an enable or disable feature. This would also give the player the opportunity to create boxers based off of real boxers. Most players that enjoy boxing games love the real fighters and would really enjoy seeing them in the game. I know there are licensing hurdles to get the actual boxers in the game but if the player creates them, it will help get around this hurdle. Secondly, rounds should be customizable and not set at only 1 minute. There needs to be an option to set the round timer to 1 minute, 2 minutes or 3 minutes. The player should be able to add rounds and not be capped at 3 rounds only. The rounds should be customizable to 3, 6, 8 and 12. Thirdly, the three knockdown rule needs to be customizable. The player should be able to set the amount to unlimited instead of three. At the very least the three knockdowns in the complete fight rule should be changed to three knockdowns in one round. The fighters should be able to continue hits even after the knockout. The ref should also be able to intervene during that time and penalize the fighter if they go overboard with continuing punches during a knockout before the other fighter hits the mat. The fighters should be able to continue punching even after the knockout until the falling fighter is out of reach. The referee should also be able to intervene during that time and penalize the punching fighter if they punch too much during a knockout before the other fighter hits the mat. Some particle animation should be added during connected punches. It is common to see sweat and blood fly off of a fighter when the get hit. If the fighter has no cuts there should be particle animation for sweat, if they have cuts there should be particle animation for blood. If the player is completely knocked out there should be very little to no animation showing the player trying to get up. During the rest periods between rounds the camera should pan in closer to the fighter's face. Players connect more with the boxer that they are portraying that way. THE GOOD! The one-minute rounds are somewhat understandable. They are trying to get you through the matches quickly. That is why it should be customizable. Some players enjoy the full boxing experience. The non-human boxers are interesting. I like the variation, and they add a unique element to the game. The ability to add more boxers and customize them would make the experience much better. The experience points system is pretty good. I like the ability to continue fighting low ranking boxers and rack up wins. I also like that it limits the experience points rewards if you do that. The versus mode is definitely a good feature. If the other changes were added it would be even better. The right gear adding to a player's attributes is an interesting game mechanic and enjoyable feature. The graphics are dated but not terrible. Does it look real? No. Are the graphics easy to watch and follow? Yes. THE VERDICT! As of right now I would not recommend this game to PC players looking for a boxing game to appease their appetite. If you need a cheap boxing game to fill the void, it might be worth a few dollars of an investment. If Vivid would add a few of the changes mentioned, then it would change my recommendation.
I'm hovering between a yes and a no, but I'll go with a hesitant thumbs-up. It isn't the greatest, but it's acceptable and the controls are far more comfortable than I would have expected. Get it on sale if you're considering it, but I don't personally regret the money that I spent.
I really like this type of boxer development game. Could you please add Chinese? Thank you
Gra jak za tą cenę grywalna . Można nawet customizować postać
Good game for 5€
