Reviews
Had this game open long enough just to leave a review saying that it's pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ behaviour to use AI-generated content and not disclose it, and then also get companies like LazyOtter to send keys to creators without also disclosing the AI-generated content
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this definitely looks like AI art; its incredibly uninspired and random. Leaving it uncredited (besides saying it's from their studio) leads me to believe that. Either way, the gameplay is meh at best.
The base gameplay loop is a great way to softly introduce people into strategy card games, but this game uses AI Art, and doesn't openly specify it anywhere. Neither do they make it clear to companies, like Lazy Otter Team, who help distribute games, meaning people that specifically ask to not receive games involving AI get it anyway. The cards, containing the art, also credit the studio itself, misleading people. It's honestly really gross, and feels like even they're ashamed of their own use of AI. Disgusting practice imo to not only use it, but also to avoid mention of use.
Playthrough with A Good End A Meh End and a bunch of get Gaped endings: https://youtu.be/rWH31I0i-E4 This is an extreme masochism simulator, there's a lot you can do to survive. I definitely didn't understand at the start, because the tutorial was not my favorite thing. Playing the game I realized how brutally toxic most of the outcomes were, but I also learned how to abuse the mechanics a little better each time. It does feel super rewarding when you win and I honestly wish they had something in the game to tell you if you get something awesome like a true ending if you beat it with all the characters, but the only hint of that is the game progress after I beat it with the knight said 17% so maybe? I hate RNG type games personally, but I think this is really solid although incredibly frustrating.

In fact, a lot of the times you would want to gamble only if desperate. If your stats are decent and you manage your resources well, you won't even need to pray to the RNG gods (funnily enough the game does have a god to pray to with a random chance of success). To briefly explain the gameplay: You descent 4 floors with one of the available characters. Each step a card from the dungeon deck is drawn, it either being an event or a monster. This is btw, the extend of the "card game" part. In battles, the player must have higher attack/defense to win they lose time which may end up killing them. There is some decision making around what attack to use, as they give bonuses and penalties to stats, as well as whether and when to use special abilities and scrolls, but ultimately, there aren't many interesting decisions to make. Overall, the game is easy to pick up and it's fairly priced. It doesn't have many meaningful choices, but it does have a save-any-time system which let's you get around the occasional bad luck. The random factor was thankfully not frustrating.
The positive
+ Quick to pick up + Most randomness is not the annoying kind, as either the chances are decent or the player is informed about the risk.
The neutral
* No resolution settings and no windowed mode. * Has a card game tag, but not really much of a card game.
The negative
- Not a lot of meaningful decisions, outside of the light resource management.
Conclusion:
Uses a deck of dungeon cards, but otherwise not a card game. Not as blatantly random as one would expect but still with limited decision making. However, the content fits the price and can be fun for a few runs. Careful recommendation. The moment you think you’ve got this game figured out, it throws something random at you. That’s what makes each run feel fresh. I love the tension when talking to random characters one wrong line and it’s game over. Makes the victories even sweeter.
Played for about 3 minutes and was bored silly. Refunded.
It’s like playing a board game that hates you, in the best way. The randomness isn’t just in enemies it’s in the story bits, the buffs, and even the conversations. You don’t get to plan long-term, which makes each decision matter even more. Some builds can feel OP with the right loot, but you still need to play smart. Reaching the Dungeon Lord isn’t guaranteed, and even when you get there, he’s a beast. The game really forces you to adapt or die literally. It’s messy, chaotic, and surprisingly deep.
RANDungeon is that kind of game where every death teaches you something. The randomness can feel brutal at first, but it forces you to plan with what you get, not what you want. I’ve died from making the wrong dialogue choice more times than I care to admit, but when you do survive, it’s super rewarding. There's a surprising amount of depth in the passive/active skill combos between characters, and unlocking them felt earned. It’s not easy, but if you love strategy mixed with chaos, this one delivers.
