Random Blacksmith Game

"Random Blacksmith Game" is a failed, very badly made attempt at making a "blacksmith tycoon" game, basically you do some blacksmithing crafting tycoon game stuff, adventurers go off and get loot for you with the stuff you make, and you just grind that game loop. Or don't. I'm pretty sure the absolutely hideous character design in this game was a main cause of the failure, but being clunky and unpolished doesn't help, either. This has some really mediocre looking graphics that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarly visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $4.99 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 2 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

I feel like I got several brain tumours just from playing this, and they all have faces like the game.

Un jeu gratuit un peu brisé, mais tout de même très cool. On peut facilement passer par dessus les bugs, le gameplay est super facile a apprendre. Un bon jeu à faire en stream ou en parlant sur discord.

Игра "Random Blacksmith Game" оказалась неожиданно увлекательной. Простой, но затягивающий геймплей заставляет возвращаться снова и снова. Рандом действительно играет большую роль, и это добавляет азарта – никогда не знаешь, какой рецепт выпадет в следующий раз или насколько удачным будет ковка. Визуально игра довольно минималистична, но это не критично, ведь основной фокус – на процессе создания предметов. Система прогрессии хоть и медленная, но ощутимая, позволяя постепенно открывать новые рецепты и инструменты. Иногда, конечно, хочется больше разнообразия в ресурсах и готовых изделиях, но в целом игра оставляет приятное впечатление. Особенно радует отсутствие навязчивой рекламы и простая механика, в которую легко втянуться и приятно провести время, наблюдая, как растет твоя кузнечная империя. Рекомендую попробовать всем любителям idle-игр и тем, кто ищет что-то ненавязчивое, но забавное.
