About
Set in a huge open world reminiscent of the Americas during the golden age of steam trains, Railroads Online puts you in the role of a pioneer helping to shape the future of America. Build tracks, traverse vast landscapes in various steam locomotives, transport goods to earn money, and customize and buy new locomotives and equipment as you grow to become a railroad tycoon. Play alone or with up to 15 friends in the online cooperative multiplayer mode on 4 different large maps including Lake Valley, Aurora Falls, Pine Valley and Mesa Plains.
Tracks, trains & more
Design your dream rail network from the ground up. Explore the world, scout the best route and lay down embankments, switches, turntables and more. Select and build tracks, bridges and other infrastructure buildings afterwards. Then cross the vast, open landscape in finely detailed locomotives and wagons. Interact with regulators, valves, brakes, couplers, and many more features in first-person view as you drive your vehicles. But you won't simply be driving around aimlessly! Your mission is to build up your company by transporting goods across the country, including timber, ore, coal, cattle, gold and other various freight items for a broad variety of industries. Earn money for every successful shipment and invest in new vehicles or upgrade and customize your existing locomotives. Plus: build stations, yards, and other infrastructure along your routes to service your trains with fuel, water, and sand. You can also build up a wide variety of iconic buildings and objects to create a beautiful surrounding for your railroad network.

Reviews
Had to change my review for this game to a thumbs down due to the fact that this game's engine (UE5) doesn't want to use my hardware to its full potential. The game ran okay during beta, but once 1.0 rolled out, the performance went downhill from there. After reading other reviews, it seems like the devs are not responding or ignoring everyone's input about the issues for this game. Like most modern game devs nowadays, they focus more on graphics, features, mechanics, micro-transactions etc. rather than optimization and performance to make the game run as smooth as possible on most PC's that meet the minimum specs. The game itself is fun and entertaining don't get me wrong, but the major performance issues I've been having since 1.0 released has made it feel like I'm watching a PowerPoint in an online class lecture.
why the he// are there still games being made that have autosave features and then don't have them turned on by default. Just lost 10 hours of work. Make sure to turn autosave on before you play!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

fun and enjoyable for hours of tearing down trees and placing track to then have your train fall over by going slightly too fast
Really fun and relaxing game. Got a stressful day and need something else on your mind? Well I think this game is perfect for that, perfect to let the day end with a relaxing driving session with an old steam train from the 19th century. You can also put the 'Online' part in 'Railroads Online' by playing with some friends :3
Taking awhile to get used to the game as a whole, a fair bit more complicated than Trainz22 but I like that game for being able to Have local content available, NG is similar but easier to play, I enjoy the challenge of RRO.

fajna odprężająca gra z elementami historycznych faktów. Polecam
Unfinished piece of junk, don't buy. Looks and plays like an early prototype. Development ceased a long time ago, i.e. they just pushed an EA build as 1.0 and left. Had this on my wishlist since EA release and grabbed it recently from a bundle, not knowing it was abandoned and barely any progress was made.
now ts game got abandoned by the devs i belive but ts game is fire if ur bored
game is derad as all be but, its still fun. after years and hours of play.
