About
Set in a huge open world reminiscent of the Americas during the golden age of steam trains, Railroads Online puts you in the role of a pioneer helping to shape the future of America. Build tracks, traverse vast landscapes in various steam locomotives, transport goods to earn money, and customize and buy new locomotives and equipment as you grow to become a railroad tycoon. Play alone or with up to 15 friends in the online cooperative multiplayer mode on 4 different large maps including Lake Valley, Aurora Falls, Pine Valley and Mesa Plains.
Tracks, trains & more
Design your dream rail network from the ground up. Explore the world, scout the best route and lay down embankments, switches, turntables and more. Select and build tracks, bridges and other infrastructure buildings afterwards. Then cross the vast, open landscape in finely detailed locomotives and wagons. Interact with regulators, valves, brakes, couplers, and many more features in first-person view as you drive your vehicles. But you won't simply be driving around aimlessly! Your mission is to build up your company by transporting goods across the country, including timber, ore, coal, cattle, gold and other various freight items for a broad variety of industries. Earn money for every successful shipment and invest in new vehicles or upgrade and customize your existing locomotives. Plus: build stations, yards, and other infrastructure along your routes to service your trains with fuel, water, and sand. You can also build up a wide variety of iconic buildings and objects to create a beautiful surrounding for your railroad network.

The tutorial is horrible the rest of the game is great would definitely recommend. You just have to play one hour without giving up and then you start to understand the game. I recommend you watch KAN gaming, he has a railroad online series and it might help you understand what you are supposed to do at the beginning of the game.
Mosca locomotives can only be fueled by the host of a server. Locomotive water levels and capacities can sometimes only be viewed by the host of the server. Snow does not place over trestles, and sometimes does not place over regular track either. Snow sometimes does not melt for other players on the server. If you leave a server while inside a locomotive, the locomotive cannot be entered again, as the game thinks a player is still controlling it. Rerailing the locomotive fixes this. Passenger cars have no purpose. The game sometimes gets stuck midway through an autosave. The game will crash if you open the shop menu whilist earning money. Locomotives that are MU’d together are glitchy, and sometimes end up out of sync. The tender color of the Montezuma locomotive sometimes appears different for other players than it appears for the host. Ferries & Cliff House Locomotive is in desperate need of rebalancing. Placed trestles, fills, & stone walls sometimes end up floating. There is no switch option that contains more than 1 meter high ballast. This results in many switches being left floating in the air.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Trains, that's it, that's all. does it need something else? If you need to fill a train shaped hole in your life then play this. If you don't have a train shaped hole then wait your gf to leave and fill the void with trains.
everything that you could want out of the game and more. i love this game so much and think that its well worth the money. my only complaint is that there are a few bugs with the menus but its not that big of a deal. overall i would %100 recommend this game.
Absolut empfehlenswert!
This game is the best train game ever and I had a lot of fun playing it
