I havent played this game in 3 years it used to be a decent game I could play with some people from discord but now it seems to be abandoned again and the way the game works is just not fun anymore
Game keeps crashing after a few minutes of game play seems to be between 10-30 minutes, I have played this game in the past and it never crashed as much as it does now

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I really want to enjoy playing this game but I can't. Too many poor design choices and bugs.
This is a game I want to enjoy. It has difficult track laying physics and even on "epic" graphics everything is blurry. I've heard this is a dead game, but the discord seems to say it still have an active dev. I keep trying to play this game, but get only an hour in and I seem to be uninstalling it.
First off this is not a rant or anything similar. Just my overall first impressions with my first 50 hours played. The game has its quarks as any game in its infancy would have. Biggest issue atm is lack of optimization. Game is playable but in its current state it does require allot of patience. At times the optimization issues just ruin the experience. IMO the game should of received allot more attention to this detail. Maybe it is planed or in the works. Idk. But i assumed prior to purchase these kind of issues would of been resolved in "Early Access" ? For now until that changes i have to lean to not recommending the game. Purchase price just isn't worth what you get in the games current state. Other issues lack of any wildlife. Not even a bird. Seen no comments related to this from the dev(s) Game just feels empty. Same with any industry station etc. Just void of life. I have not looked into the multiplayer side of things. So to that end i cant comment on that. But the single player mode is def very lonely and needs some help. I will say though out of any game similar to this... The track laying mechanics are the best here from any other game i played. So kudos on that :D Once ya understand how it all works track laying is very clean. Other things i noticed needing attention some industry have what appears to be missing icons on outputs. Gota sift the wiki to verify what industry has the output you need. As of this post 12/13/24 the 1 industry i can recall off hand was the iron works and it not showing pipes as an output. My only other gripe is the lack of/for modding support. Mod creators are life for many games these days. One can almost just call it a meta. Dev(s) really need to consider this as it would add allot to the game and the community you seek to get behind it :) Anyways... Going to end with saying i hope things continue to get better and or improve. I'll keep an eye out for updates and adjust this review accordingly.
Also... (Fällt euch was auf?
This is now my relaxing game. Normally a FPS player, and still enjoy that, but at 61, sometimes I just need a relaxing game with beautiful scenery and logic to process and layout. Thanks to the creators. I am having a great time!!!
I love Trains, exclusively the Age of Steam and 1880s Colorado Narrow Gauge. I have come to love/hate Railroads Online. The graphics and scenery are beautiful. The Locomotives and Rolling Stock are stellar. The Controls and Camera, not so much. Freeing the Camera, and adding Game Pad Functionality would be a major improvement. Enhancing the in-game options, especially the LMPB+G On-screen icons when In-Cab (making those non-displayable similar to the Mini-Map), or adding an in-game screen capture that removes them when saving photos would be great. I was disappointed when I reached Level 12 to discover that was the extent of the Levels. The Achievements are fun. Some I will never achieve, or maybe I will. I am not sure if I will try Multi-Player. And two important features sorely missing are the ability to modify the Terrain. And the Main Map could be much more robust and customisable and take advantage of the full screen size. If these two key features were available, I would be far more invested in Railroads Online. As Railroads Online is currently, I am looking forward to the release of Century Of Steam, and hoping that game will have features missing in Railroads Online. Hyce definitely has the expertise and the Team to make Century Of Steam an exceptional Railroading Simulation for the Era I love to model. All in all, Railroads Online is massively fun! For my money, Railroads Online needs to be less "controlling" and more customisable (and have the ability to name locations that can be displayed on the Maps, please).
I remember playing this game prior to the version 1.0 update. While the game was rough, it was still pretty fun just to drive around the trains and build a lil railroad. Now, I can't even recommend the game due to it practically being abandonware at this point. The Devs have no intentions of updating the game further or adding any new content. If you're looking for a train game, either save your money for Century of Steam or buy Railroader because both are still being actively worked on compared to this game.
not what the game once was and not what it looking to be intened to go the game was a multiplayer base but aimed on freedom with easy user ability by building and running a railway that you created not its a poor creativity loosing game thats no longer fun
