Railroader is a love letter to a more romantic era of American railroading where the iron horse still reigned supreme. This gem was made by railfans for railfans. It brings with it a vast and diverse table of content that combines the tycoon side of train games with the simulation aspect. If you're itching for that 'rags to riches' company experience, then Railroader has you covered. Start out with nothing but two engines, a few contracts, and a dream...and either sit cozy running short-line operations or gradually take over as the area's Class 1... Let the AI run your trains on a set schedule...or take the controls yourself and try to stick to the timetable. Solve shunting puzzles and arrange trains to be taken from A to B. Work tirelessly through the day as you grow your company and try to keep up with the workload as you take on more contracts with the locals that rely on your service... The game can be a lot to grasp at first. The UI can be a little loaded and cluttered...but once you find your way around everything and run through the tutorial, you'll be running trains up and down your small yet humble mainline like there's no tomorrow. Even better is that you can play this game at your own pace. You choose how you want to expand. You are entirely at your own liberty to keep things simple and remain a short-line railroad...or you can take on the challenge of expanding to Sylva and Alarka. Things will get busy REAL quick. All in all, Railroader is a serious breath of fresh air to such a niche genre. This game offers so much yet continues to grow under a small yet passionate dev team. While they work tirelessly in the background, the modding community continues to help shape this game into something truly fantastic. This game's modding support is tremendous...and the developers have fully embraced that with their intentions of complete and full mod support in the future. The graphics aren't the greatest, and the sound design leaves much to be desired...but that can all be overlooked when everything else that Railroader provides is exactly what every foamer should ever need from a game about trains. If you're itching to run some trains...give Railroader a fair shake and support the devs in the process. This game is already fantastic, and will be even greater in the future as it continues to grow.

Awesome game, just some minor tweaks to get all the mods to work would be nice, but that's the job of the modders. AWESOME Game right outta the box!!!!

Devs need to fix how your cursor blocks information when hovering over train cars. Also need to change looking around to following your mouse instead of having to hold right mouse button. Otherwise its a great game. If you have that itch in the back of your brain for the trains....its scratches it really good

its very accurate to real life railroading so i wouldnt recomend it if you want a game that isnt as accurate. but if you love good train games and want to have a realistic experiance, this game is for you!

To nie jest złe, ale ta gra sama nie wie czym chce być. Jak na symulator to za mało wymagające. Jeśli chce być czym w rodzaju train tycona, to za mało ekonomii w tym wszystkim. Jeśli szukasz czegoś w rodzaju kolejowej amerykańskiej przygody to się nie zawiedziesz. Jeśli szukasz jednak symulacji + ekonomii. Jakiegoś wyzwania, to poza pokładami prostego gridnu raczej nic więcej tu nie znajdziesz.
