Queer Quest: All in a Gay's Work

This game is so gay. I love it. I want 10 more games just like this one!

Early days so far but an incredibly special game. Having a good time with it. It's great when a games comes along that just unapologetically does its own thing and invites the player along for the ride. Puzzles are not too obtuse, graphics show a lot of care, story is interesting. Vibe is beyond awesome.

This game is so cute and fun. You can knock it out pretty quick, fun to play with a friend so you can put your heads together when you get stuck. Some of the puzzles have solutions that are a bit less than intuitive but that gives you the sense of accomplishment when you finally figure it out (like that damn bike tire lol). It's really the characters that sell the game for me though. I feel like I've personally known versions of half of the people in this game and that really makes it come to life. And the hilarious writing when you try to do dumb stuff really brings out the Monkey Island vibes. Also the subtitle should be "Portland Simulator" :)

So I am updating my reviews from negative to positive cos I didn't get soft locked but I just didn't think of doing crazy things by trying out random stuff. All in all, the game is what I expected it to be. It made me feel very dumb, as point and click games usually do so no complaints there lol, love the representation just the bugs to me are pretty annoying (I managed to have Lupe walk through a building when I loaded in). The devs got back to me ASAP and helped me find out that it was indeed a me problem, which I am still sorry about. Great game if you're smart lol

I downloaded this game after hearing about it on the Eggplant podcast. It's a really fun time! I think where it really excels is the character design and dialogue. If your friends are a bunch of weirdos like mine it'll make perfect sense. If you're looking for a hard core adventure game, this is not it. There are puzzles but they mostly involve bringing people items. Instead, think of this as a chill vibe game, along the lines of Night in the Woods rather than The Secret of Monkey Island (although I did enjoy the Scumm bar reference!)
