There's a naked bike ride blocking the road. Ryan's selfies suck. Stevie Hix needs some tape for tucking. Oh, and your hot girlfriend is missing.

Queer Quest: All in A Gay’s Work feels like the LGBTQ answer to the Leisure Suite Larry games for better and for worse. This game has a very similar goofy point and click formula the made those games fun to play while also including the unrelenting sexual references too. The finished product is a pretty fun game with lots of representation.
What a great game! I loved everything about it: the story, the puzzles, the beautifully detailed backgrounds, the characters... I'm a boring straight (I think) who grew up in a mostly straight environment. Playing as a grieving Lupe, supported by their friends and community, made me feel so many things.
Today is the one year anniversary of Queer Quest's release and I want to update my review. I have 16+ hours clocked in this 3-4 hour game, and that's not counting all my plays on the itch version, nor those where I gleefully watched over my friends' shoulders. This is my favorite game. I am so glad that Queer Quest won GOLD PLACE in the 2024 Melbourne Queer Games Festival (Kitsune Tails won silver. I'm serious). In the words of Ron Gilbert himself, "w00t!" Happy Pride, everyone! This is the perfect game to kick off your month. Also it has boobs. [original review below:] If you were raised on Monkey Island, chances are you're gay now. I wish I had a game like this when I was growing up. It tingles my nostalgia oblongata like no other. I wish there were more queer games like this! The ending made me cry happy tears. This is the queer game we needed! Clever fetch quests aside, this game has a depth and diversity to it that was clearly handled with utmost care. I cannot say enough good things about this game. Absolute props to the creator and team! Play this game already.
Are you queer? Do you like story based puzzle games? Do you want to give money to a queer artist? BUY THIS GAME it's excellent. Oh and if you're a Portland queer who was in their 20s....like almost 20 years ago (oh no), there are so many easter eggs. Edit: I have finished the game. I wish it was longer. If you're the type of person who likes to make sure all conversation options get picked, there's a bug that will make the game freeze, so make sure you save! Also, 10/10 puns.
The characters in this game are an absolute panoply of queerness. You've got butts, zines, fast food, 90s dance parties, great hair cuts, fashion - this gaggle loves it all. Seeing that diversity represented in a game is so refreshing and just makes the whole experience feel like a big queer party. Note -- as I travel throughout the game I keep seeing this cute little coffee mug pop up in the background that says "BEST BUTT." I love this mug, and love it more each time I see it hiding on a shelf or a coffee table. The queer details that make up the DNA of this game are really something special, and you keep finding more and more lil rainbow touches the more you play. Queer Quest tips its hat to point and click classics, AND it's blazing a new trail for centering queer narratives into gaming. I really hope this is just the start of something great from these brilliant creators, and that we get to see more games like Queer Quest hit the gaming sphere. Bottom line - Queer Quest is a heartfelt, goofy, and THE unapologetically queer adventure game that has me laughing my ass off. It's a quest, it's an adventure, it's community, and it's queer as hell. Play this game!
I'm only halfway through act 2 (I plan to update this review if I beat the game) but I am really enjoying this game so far. It's extremely gay in the best possible way, and also clearly shows its love for classic, well-written point & click adventure games like those of LucasArts. I highly recommend picking this up if you like adventure games and games that are queer AF.
Those were some WILD requests given the circumstances. Sequel should cover going no contact with these people :D It's gay. It's camp. It's good. Happy pride, queers :)
I am really happy I got this through curator since this is amazing. And it seems I otherwise probably would not have found it. Not the most marketable game, and I truly mean that in the best way possible. It's queer. It's leftist. It gives me hope. It really gives me hope.
if you like point and click games and your'e queer, this is the game you've always dreamed! soo goood! i loved it! I want more already!
Exactly what it sounds like: queer Monkey Island. Had a great time with it.
