Quake III Arena

the best game

Quake III Arena ist ein cooler 90er-Shooter, der mir vor allem aufgefallen ist, weil dieser vor etwa 26 Jahren verboten worden ist und im November 2024 erst freigegeben worden ist. Natürlich kann man dieses Spiel mit den heutigen nicht mehr vergleichen, aber denoch ist es wert sich das Spiel zumindest ein Mal anzuschauen.

De lo mejor que hay, es del 99 entras y siempre hay gente jugando, fps muy dinamico que ocupa unos megas, juegaso para mi gusto el mejor de este genero.

The movement is buttery smooth, every weapon is satisfying, the design of weapons and maps are literal masterpieces, and once you learn to fly around the map with rocket launcher, you start wondering why modern shooters make you run and slide and all that ♥♥♥♥. Honestly, if it weren't for how rough it can be to get looking right on a modern PC, this would easily be a 10/10. Resolution quirks, UI scaling, and a few old-engine headaches really drag it down, which is a shame. Unfortunately for thoses reasons i can't really recommend it on steam, you should rather get it for and older PC, or play the Dreamcast port which is pretty awesome. Underneath all that, though? This is probably the greatest arena shooter ever made, and one of my favorite Quake games after the first one, which is of course is unbeatable. If you're still rocking a CRT, congratulations: you get to experience this game the way god intended. 7/10, Quake III aged like a champion but modern monitors definitely didn't.
