Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.57/day in the week to Jul 30 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Back in the day, Quake 2 was the reason I bought a Voodoo 2. I remember saving up allowance, eventually being able to buy the thing, then installing it into my computer. When all was said and done, I fired up the game and wondered why everything still looked and ran the same. That's when I learned that I had to manually switch the renderer. That experience of switching from software rendering to hardware rendering and seeing the colored lighting for the first time was mind-blowing. I spent the next year playing nothing but Quake 2. This is still a great game. It might not have the legacy of Quake 1 or 3, but I probably spent over a thousand hours playing Q2 multiplayer and I still love it. This remaster looks great, feels good, and has a small but active multiplayer community.
While not nearly as good as Quake I, Quake II is still an enjoyable FPS. NightDive has done a phenomenal job remastering this classic, and while I was disappointed when it came out because of the shift away from the dark fantasy of Quake I, I have since been able to separate the two games and appreciate Quake II more. I love the huge levels, and the music that is there is incredible. The new campaign in this remaster is a special treat for fans of this franchise. I only hope Quake IV gets a proper remaster this year for the 30th anniversary of the franchise... It really needs a face lift.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

a classic PC game that influenced everything in 3D that came after, the nightdive reproduction improves every aspect of the game in all ways possible
Kudos to Nightdive for the great remaster aspect of the game! I'm giving a thumbs up because of this, but I also have to say, Q2 sucks so hard after playing Q1 for a long time... Dunno how they could ruin the gameplay so much.
everything
The Call of the Machine expansion is incredible and it nicely ties Quake II lore to Quake. The Call of the Machine is absolutely the best part of this game. Unfortunately, the base game Quake II does not compare well to Quake in atmosphere or visual design. Quake II and its expansions The Reckoning and Ground Zero are competently made and enjoyable games, but they are no masterpieces. Quake II 64 is an interesting take on Quake II but it obviously pales in comparison to the base game.
me get good game, me play game, me happy
That SMG is so fun to use but so weak against medium-sized enemies, it's outrageous. But I guess I can deal with it... Again, it's so fun...
Quake ist ein Spiel, entwickelt von den beiden Videospiel-Legenden Carmac und Romero. Es ist das beste klassische Spiel von id Software.
