Quacker Bros : First Heist

"Quacker Bros : First Heist" is is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Quacker Bros". Quacker Bros is intended to be a, well, not really a tower defense, it's intended to be a 2D retro pixelcrap wave survival game with some towers in it, but there's no enemy paths or anything like that, it's a free-for-all. Despite all the fake looking reviews, this seems unlikely to go anywhere, and it remains to be seen if any game eventuates. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Quacker Bros, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Quacker Bros : First Heist" too. Usually the purpose of these advertisements is to get you to shell out money to the developer to buy the full product, but the developer hasn't bothered actually making a product you can buy, leaving this as an advertisement for nothing. We must question what value this pointless advertising has for gamers... and the answer is "none". Due to the poor public response amongst gamers for this advertisement, it seems unlikely the developer will go on to make the full product. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. As an advertisement, this is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on Steam to advertise another Steam store page in the hopes of raking in some cash. Just because advertisements are free, doesn't mean they're worth your time. It's important to understand there's a formal process to create a demo/page for a game which hasn't been followed here: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/demos While it might seem like an inocuous mistake, publishing demos and advertisements as if they are full games is misleading and in some ways harmful. This advertisement is taking up marketing space and visibility that would be better made available to a developer that's done the right thing and created a full game. Instead, that visibility is given over to a demo/advert that's been published incorrectly and is polluting the marketplace. It's unclear if this mistake was made through incompetence or a deliberate intent to mislead gamers. Often developers may choose to incorrectly publish demo/advertisements as separate games as a cheap way to bypass paying Valve for marketing presence on the Steam front page, which may seem clever to them, but it's harmful behaviour and it's not good for gamers. In terms of public reception, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. It's important to note that, despite this being such a low quality product, there's a number of positive reviews that all appeared immediately after the game launched, from suspiciously inactive Steam accounts that have reviewed almost no other games apart from this. Take the review score of this game with a grain of salt. Advertisements and incorrectly published demos don't add +1 to your game collector count, they aren't full games. It's impossible for me to recommend this incorrectly published advertising spam to gamers, you deserve better than adverts.

Nice simple game, just pick the cool duck with the gun, kill the entire population of chicken. Looks like vegan propaganda with a bit of extra story. Maybe the developer can add a description of the rarity of each duck to make it easier when replacing ducks in the field. 10/10 very nice

It seems that this company just keeps releasing games based on the SNKRX code. I love the base game so I have no issue with that, but this is really just FLERP with ducks. I LOVE FLERP WITH DUCKS !!!!

fun, interesting, time passing. But I did break the game. I rolled a Quackinator lvl 1, Mallard-ia lvl 1, Yo Ma-ma lvl 3, Goose Capone lvl 1, Critter Mama lvl 2, Barbedque lvl 2, and Egg Ma lvl 5, for a Destructive 3, Precise 2, Progenitor 4, Barraging 3,l combo and the screen filled with critters and now the game is frozen. No crash but no game advancement. Pretty good game. Nerf Progenitors.

I am a 55 year old biker and trucker father, and probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single father to my Son, who is 15 now. My son got this game from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 12 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So i decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I could maybe play alongside him. I loaded into the game and started playing but I was stuck on what you where supposed to do. I asked my Son for help and he let me borrow his controller. Me and my son then played in turns and I loved it as it was the best time I had spent with my Son since my wife had died. This game has ever since brought me and my son closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house together as well. This game reminded me that there's fun to be had in everything, and it has brought both me and my son many happy memories.
