This is a very cute real-time economic strategy game. Grow plants, level up, unlock new buildings.

Disclaimer: A copy of this game was provided by the developer. Qbio is a clicker farming managament game. The graphics are cute and pleasing with a slight issue of blocking visibility for blocks placed behind other blocks. The cheerful music and sounds contribute to the relaxing feeling and for getting the dopamine hit. By design it's simple. There are three types of blocks with which you can create your garden, green for planting vegetables, cheaper ice for water upgrades and expensive stone for technology upgrades. But the upgrades don't really feel worth getting. Harvesting vegetables is far more lucrative than spending coins on the coin collecting upgrades. Getting a few frogs strategically placed around the garden or a few scarecrows helps to get rid of the crows trying to eat your crops and spare you the mouse click spam. The gameplay loop is designed to have you engaged most of the time. Place the blocks, dig the holes, place the seeds, click the falling coin, click the falling star, water the seeds, spam click the crow trying to eat your growing plants, click the falling coin, click the falling star, water the seeds, collect the harvested plants, repeat. The water and technology upgrades require player interaction as well. There is a lot of player interaction that becomes mentally draining if you want to progress. But is the progression worth it? The vegetables you place are replaced with newer vegetables that take longer to grow and while they give more coins, the coin per second balance goes down with each new vegetable, making the first vegetable the most profitable. The more blocks you have, the costier it becomes to place a new one. Another progression is the level system, locking the more expensive block content behind levels and a perk system allowing you to choose between two perks every 10 levels until level 60 that improves the water and technology blocks. I think the game would work better as an idle game, requiring less player interaction as it's currently highly mentally tasking for little pay-off if you want to play and progress. Yes, you can leave the game to come back later, but your interaction will always be waiting for you when you come back. For achievement hunters: Plant 10 of each vegetable, place 1 of each water and technology upgrade, collect 1000 stars, feed 100 crows, collect 1000000, grow 500 plants and shed 100 rains. Grinding awaits.

There have been added new ones, but they are easy, so the completion time should be the same. Your role, should you choose to accept it, is to make a garden using grass blocks, wherein you can plant seeds, grow plants and earning yourself money. You'll earn more money when harvesting the fully-grown plant, which can take real-life time to grow. For your garden there are also rock blocks and water blocks and on those, you can place all kinds of different things. Some will earn you money, others will scare away crows, meanwhile, some others will catch falling-stars for you. There is not really an end goal for this game, thankfully it does have Steam achievements to provide at least something resembling a goal for you. Qbio has 5 achievements, most of them are what you'd expect in a game of this type such as; growing plants and earning money. The other achievements are for allowing the crows to eat your plant, catching/earning stars and letting it rain 100 times. The last one took a while, way longer than the other 4 achievements because to let it rain you will need 50 stars. So, you'll have to wait till you've caught or earned 50 those stars. Raining, naturally, allows for your plants to grow faster, so that is a nice benefit. You can earn stars by killing the white birds and then they'll fall out of the sky. There is also a buff which gives you a chance to get stars when harvesting your plants. I could've completed Qbio much quicker by planting the fastest plants and then used that buff for the stars when harvesting but doing that would've taken a lot of active gameplay, in what's otherwise, a mostly idle game. I chose to make a row at the bottom with chests, so that they would catch the stars and empty every 10/15 minutes. I did enjoy this sweet little relaxing farming game, and the achievements are very easy to obtain but they are time-consuming.
This is essentially an idle game without a whole lot to do and unbalanced mechanics.
Casual garden resource mgmt sim + customization + upgrades = Cute garden building to the shape and design you want. Shoot those crows trying to peck your plants and catch the stars for upgrades. It's a shame its a good game but unfortunately feels like it should be a free to play. Wasn't worth paying for, refunded.
Just because I grinded for all achivements, it does not mean I enjoyed it. One of clumsiest user interfaces I have experienced, no guides about it too. But if for some reason, you also want all those achievements, play all three saves simultaneously (cubes in middle of main screen), to do it faster.
