Puyo Puyo™ Tetris® 2

I am bad at both Puyo Puyo and Tetris. Even so, I played through all of Puyo Puyo Tetris 1 on PS4 and spent a lot of time bashing my head against walls until I broke them and won. I would argue my experience with this game was similar to that. A lot of things are very shamelessly carried over from the first game, and apparently, that includes voice clips too. Most of the game modes from the first game are in this one too, but with more characters to play with. As far as I'm aware, the only new thing added to this game that wasn't in the first game is the Skill Battle, which sees some play in the Adventure mode. Honestly, I wasn't the biggest fan of Skill Battle, but they did feel more like puzzles than just ordinary gameplay, where the key is "how do I win with the tools the default team has?" The Adventure mode...is a story of all time. There's really not much to say about it, but I do feel like in terms of the number of characters, it was a case of "too many chefs in the kitchen." We even had a whole mini filler arc during Chapter 5 to give some of these characters something to do. Some game modes do get far more play than others during Adventure, though. Game modes that borderline had whole chapters devoted to them in PPT 1 barely get any representation this time, namely Big Bang and Party. On the main path, I think I played Party a total of 3 times, and that's it, when you'd probably do 5 or so in Chapter 4 or 5 of the first game. Big Bang also barely got any action, too. Fusion, the big Puyo Puyo x Tetris mashup that was the central game mode of the finale of the first game, gets weirdly sprinkled around but never played at all in Chapter 7. There was far more Versus and Swap than any other game mode after Chapter 3 added Swap to the game pool. Skill Battle was usually chapter ending battles. On that topic, while I did like a couple of the music tracks, namely ones that play during your confrontations with the antagonists of the game and the Tetris side music during Swap, I...didn't really like many of the music tracks in this game, at least compared to the first game. In the first game, some music would be different depending on the context of the situation in the story, like the infamous (in my opinion) 5-9 Ecolo battle, but more often than not, in this game, it'd just be the default music for that game mode. Even though I did spend a vast majority of the game facing colossal skill issues, I did enjoy the game. I did get a bit frustrated at times, but that's just the puzzle game experience sometimes.

Buen juego de Puyo Puyo con el añadido de su puzzle rival: el Tetris. De lo poco que puedo destacar de negativo es que el modo Fusión es aburrido, que la Batalla de Dotes (Skill Battle) está muy poco balanceada y no me termina de convencer que los equipos tengan Estadísticas como si fuera un RPG. Y esto no es culpa del juego en sí, pero el Online en PC está muy muerto. Fue una gran casualidad que lo encontrara activo para ganar los dos logros que dependen del mismo.

i'm sorry to say, but it's not a puyo puyo game. (also no irs/ihs makes this game feel disgusting to play coming from, say, tgm)

If you're looking for competitive play, dont buy this. If you're casual. Its a fun game otherwise :) - Matchmaking (And multi in general) is as good as dead (You usually play against the same player) - Only puzzle- and tetris league gets players. - Some weird delay with holding tetris pieces - Cant 180 tetris pieces.

킬링타임용으로도 괜찮고 이거 있으면 굳이 테트리오 할 필요없는거같기도하고 캐릭터도 많고 재밌어용
