Purrrfect Spa

[b]Note:[/b] A wonderful friend gifted me a copy of this cute game. ^^ [h1]Cats deserve a spa day, too. XD[/h1] [h2]Introduction[/h2] [i]Purrrfect Spa[/i] is a cozy, relaxing, simulation game developed and published by YULU GAMES. You're the manager of a spa for cats, and various cat clients enter your spa, needing the full treatment after a hard day of work. The gameplay is divided into two parts. First, you take on the role of the client, who does a variety of jobs, from trimming hedges to puzzling out computer programs. Then the role switches to the spa manager, who sees the client bedraggled and in need of some TLC. Depending on the client's needs, you can heal their paws or give them a soothing facial. After the client has been fully treated, you serve them with a calming drink (usually, tea) before they go on their merry way. Finally, the client arrives at their destination and their corresponding lofi room/location is unlocked. It sort of serves as a CG gallery in that you can view the unlocked room and listen to the lofi track at any time. Several Steam achievements are available, but they won't count towards a user's global total until the game is out of "Steam is learning about this game". [h2]Review[/h2] Before I continue, I want to give a special thank you to my friend for bringing this game to my attention. I would have definitely wishlisted this right away, and this game is wonderful if you want a stress-free experience. However, I'm getting ahead of myself. XD [h3]Story and Gameplay[/h3] There isn't any narration in regards to the clients or spa manager. The story is all shown through images and animations, which I feel is purrrfect (sorry - I couldn't help myself lol) for [i]Purrrfect Spa[/i]. As you first take on the role of the client, you can experience their daily routine and see how it makes an impact on their paws and/or faces. Then you can experience being in the role of spa manager, wanting to help your clients feel better and happier with your treatments. I enjoyed getting to experience all the clients' stories, and even without words, it's easy to imagine their feelings. After helping out all the clients, I just felt happier and more relaxed, and it doesn't hurt that the cats are cute. ^^ As for the gameplay, you have to use your mouse a lot. Whether it's removing thorns from clients' paws or applying facial masks, you have to click and drag the mouse a lot. However, there is no verbal tutorial to help out with the gameplay. I wish that there had been an option for it, at least for the early parts of the game, but if you get stuck, the game has motion prompts that hint at what you need to do. There's no timer, so [i]Purrrfect Spa[/i] truly is a cozy, relaxing game in which you can take your time to carry out all the steps and help out the clients. Especially, I'm fond of the cat sprites, which are hand-drawn, and the combination of colors just give the game more warmth and comfort. All the music is instrumental, and the tracks are perfect as you're helping out clients or relaxing in lofi rooms. I like that you can idle the lofi rooms (yup, there are even a couple of achievements for it XD) while you take care of other things or just relax. [h2]Conclusion[/h2] Would I recommend [i]Purrrfect Spa[/i]? If you're looking for a short cozy game and you truly want that relaxing experience, then this game is a wonderful fit. I had a lot of fun helping out with clients and only felt sad when I had to close up the spa. Although I'd love for there to be an expansion to welcome even more clients, the game is lovely as it is. This game is sooooo cute~~~I love that each cat has a story and the pampering process is so relaxing. The animations, sounds and music are perfect. More cats pls!

a wonderful little game! the art style reminds me of a children’s book, and the asmr is pretty good!

I’d been waiting for this game to come out, and finally got around to playing it. Much to my disappointment, I ran into problems right from the first location—it wouldn’t unlock. The poor gardener cat watered the bushes for quite a while, and then even longer, but nothing happened. I checked a letsplay on youtube to see how quickly the location was supposed to unlock - but it didn't happen for me. I hope you'll fix it soon :( I requested a refund.

El juego es entretenido, fácil de entender y muy tierno, si quieres algo tranquilo donde tu eres un gatito dueño de un SPA, donde ayudas a otros gatitos a su cuidado y su tranquilidad con un ASMR tierno, valió la pena.
