As a lover of clowns on a whole, and tbf i read homestuck as a kid-teen, i really like the story so far. I'm sold on the clown gender pyramid. All in all, if you're expecting Hiveswap or Homestuck vibes, it's maybe 10% there, just go into it reading it blind, you'll have fun, its a good book.

this game is for sure one of the best things i played in my life, please just give it a try, it worth it.
Psycholonials is a visual novel about socialist-adjacent clowns, gender, revolutions, colonialism, and the terrible experience of putting your all into something only to watch it (and potentially yourself) spiral wildly out of control, to the point where it's nothing you wanted it to be anymore and it's ripping you and those you care about apart. As usual with anything written by Andrew Hussie, you should expect a pretty wild ride of irony and surface-level absurdity that hides some pretty deep themes and commentary. It's a good read if you can handle their usual writing and visual style, and it brought up some things that I still find myself reflecting on from time to time. The pop culture references are already outdated and it's very clearly a product of when it was written (during the pandemic) but when it hits, it hits. Music is great, as expected from Clark Powell, and honestly I just think the entire experience is worth giving a shot if you're interested in seeing how absolutely ANY of this ties into a surprisingly coherent narrative and character study.
Afterword Is Beautiful. After Main characters contrast has peaked It made me appreciate life like never before. (Beach talk was the best story conclusion I have ever seen)
(My playtime is inaccurate, I read it on homestuck.com) This story is so personal and ideological that this review can't recommend or not recommend it. You need to read it front to back in order to form an opinion on it. The art and music is beautiful though. This game left me with a wonderful feeling, and I think that's proof enough that it was worth reading for me.
