So far it's hilarious! I recommend it who have a dark sense of humor and is nostalgic to the ps1 era. So far I gone through some areas that remind me of Resident Evil. Will see how this ends and, the cat will remember...

Man, this was so good!! Just wish it was a little longer. Took me a few retries to beat it because I kept running out of ammo or such. This was a funny self aware little game that was made with love and passion and you can feel it. I had so much fun and it was so cool to see all the horror tropes subverted or at least used "lazily" (meaning on purpose lazily)... it was just a joy for any horror fan who enjoys the old Resident Evil games or Silent Hill games. Im about to play chapter 2 and really excited. I give this a 8/10. Would be 9 or 10/10 but the BUGS.... there are no game breaking bugs but its buggy... it even mentions it in the title card in a silly smug way lol. Great game!

Went from enjoying the game to finding it super frustrating. The graphics are fun, the voice acting is funny and the controls are good, it all works. When you die your body also becomes a zombie and you respawn, thought it was pretty clever until I constantly respawned into a room with low health somehow and just died right away from my zombie self. Couldn't even move. Just respawn to insta death. uhh okay, well let me just restart the game because I am stuck. Died afer picking up the rifle and was loaded into an auto safe location. The reloads are weird and they respawn story items but not health items, even those I had not picked up yet :/ So I had to go through all the rooms with respawned enemies and no items, found out that the item I needed to get the rifle for some reason did not respawn and I had to restart again. It's just so weird, aside from that there is simply not enough ammo to go around. Also one time my screen just went black and I couldn't see anything, either forcing me to die or restart the game AGAIN. Boss is incredibly annoying too, the fixed camera angles make it so that when it changes you run right into the boss. Adding onto this your zombie selfs adding to that room, painful. Also you have to shoot cats to save? (Which doesn't even work..? At least when I tried it). You could have designed anything for a save system and this is what you chose? Skip this game.

Fun, short game. Well done but way too little ammo. I did not encounter any of the crashing that some people encountered. To the folks complaining about having to shoot cats; its a video game. If you can't differentiate the difference between a game and real life, or (because you can't differentiate) you have an issue shooting a cat but not a person, re-evaluate yourself.

Prototype Mansion - Used No Cover is a cool game. I enjoy the PS1 era graphics and gameplay, awful voice acting and humour. What I do not enjoy are the numerous crashes, which make it hard to recommend this game.

Prototype Mansion was an awesome experience from start to finish. If your a fan of the classic Resident Evil games , you'll definitely love this. The game has that same tense, creepy atmosphere where your constantly on edge, solving puzzle's, and trying to survive 10/10.
