Данный шутер от первого лица, вызывает недоумение своими геймплейными механиками и сюжетными элементами. В отличие от классических представителей жанра, таких как "Крутой Сэм", где игровые элементы гармонично интегрировались в общий нарратив, данная игра предлагает абсурдный набор анахронизмов, подрывающих убедительность и степень вовлечённости. Например, использование фантастических существ в виде врагов, таких как козлы, бросающиеся булыжниками, парящие псы (залетят за вами на любую крышу, на какую-бы вы не залезли) и взрывающиеся тролли, в сочетании с примитивными человеческими персонажами, создаёт ощущение неразберихи и абсурдности. Эти элементы не только не способствуют созданию убедительного игрового мира, но и вызывают чувство когнитивного диссонанса. Карты, на которых разворачивается действие, имеют ограниченные размеры, что приводит к быстрому освоению игрового пространства. Противники, управляемые искусственным интеллектом, демонстрируют крайне низкий уровень сложности, что делает процесс поиска ключей и прохождения уровней делом тривиальным и лёгким. В результате, игра превращается в примитивную задачу, лишённую стратегического или тактического элемента. Всё может решиться быстром забегом по карте. Арсенал оружия, представленный в игре, несмотря на своё количественное разнообразие, не вызывает ощущения мощи или эффективности. Отсутствие импакта от использования оружия, а также проблемы с анимацией стволов, создают впечатление недоработанности, а если по-простому, пофигизма. Юмористические же элементы зачастую оказываются неуместными и раздражающими. В общем, данная игра представляет собой пример плохого шутера от первого лица. Несмотря на некоторые положительные аспекты, такие как визуальный стиль и музыкальное сопровождение, общий уровень реализации игры не позволяют ей претендовать на звание успешного продукта в своей нише. Есть гораздо лучшие игры, в данном сегменте.

I had forgotten that I owned this, and I wish I never found it. Don't buy it for the love of god

I hate to give this game a negative review because a friend gave me this as a gift but I didn't even get past the first level due to how bad the game is. The movement sucks and the audio is terrible, This game almost sent me into depression after playing for just half an hour (most of it was afk)

I have such a grudge against this game, I couldn't stop thinking about it 2 years after I played through the entire thing. This is the worst game I have ever played on Steam. I bought this game for the meme, thinking I'd somehow enjoy it. I WAS WRONG. The store page claims that you can play this methodically or speedrun style. I tried speedrun style and got killed almost right away. The platforming was awful. Items and keys were placed in areas that were very inconvenient to grab. Opening gates were way more difficult than it should. Enemies chase you down so if you mess up with something else, they'll kill you quickly, forcing you to pick them off from far away. Oh guess what, no checkpoints? I wouldn't mind this so much with the old school FPS style, but this game felt cheap in all the wrong ways. Also you are totally FUBAR if you messed up on a stage and/or boss fight, only to start the next stage with low lives, health, and ammo. The bosses are downright unfair. Getting screwed over by a rhino boss was not my idea of fun. I wonder how I even beat this game. I brought this upon myself. Meh graphics, butt music. The visual novel segments would be alright with the mangled dialogue, but that would give the game too much credit. I don't know what was going on, I couldn't laugh, and I lost my sanity by the time I fought a freaken Statue of Liberty as the final boss with the Star Spangled Banner playing in the background. This is definitely the worst game I've played on Steam. No, Air Control does not count. No.

[b]Fallen Times is supremely bad.[/b] No joking about, it's so awful that it isn't even so bad that it's good. Let's start with the story. Kristfina and Rein are vigilantes I guess, the game doesn't tell you the specifics and does not elaborate. There's some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with the US and Russia too. The writing is mediocre and tries too hard at making a narrative, and despite claiming that there's yuri in its visual novel cutscenes, there are only two artworks depicting it and slight nods during text. The character designs can be described with a single word: anime. Which is to say they're bland and uninspired, and this is coming from a guy who likes catgirls. Kristfina and Rein felt wasted in this whole thing. To actual gameplay, guns cover up a ton of your screen which makes it difficulty to precisely aim even though you have "ADS", which is really just a zoom, for every weapon. The level design is abysmal, enemies and landmines are thrown all over the place with no rhyme or reason, and the levels past the first two are WAY too long. Most enemies are not too troublesome, yet it's the amount of the enemies that creates such a huge rift in difficulty. An example: Chickens have only 2 health, yet are lightning fast, tiny as ♥♥♥♥ and hit like trucks, and in the second to last level, the game throws 6-8 of them at you all at once. Boss fights are a chore, and none of them are any fun at all. Apart from them being reused later, nearly all of them have completely unavoidable moves that you just have to tank. You don't even get satisfaction from beating them, as all that waits for you after you kill one is just the bland story. The description claims that Fallen Times is humorous, yet every attempt at comedy is shallow. Even the main character herself finds a certain moment unfunny, that's how bad it gets. Oh, and I shouldn't have to mention that the whole thing is just prefabricated Unity assets cobbled together, which is why a lot of enemies and set pieces have no coherence at all. I wasn't enveloped in the story, I wasn't drawn in with the gameplay, I didn't fall in love with the characters, what drove me to complete the game was a sick curiosity to see how much worse the experience to get at every turn. tl;dr Fallen Times accurately describes what you'll go through if you play the game.

Repetitive and dull. Grind (or just speedrun) through braindead enemies to find a key, backtrack to find another and so on. last straw was a moment when I lost all my ammo and guns I was saving for obligatory boss battle, but ♥♥♥♥ me I guess.

This game isn't very good, but I prefer it over the divorce i'm going through. 10/10

Killing goats, muslims, dogs, rednecks, excreting unicorns and other animals. Everything a good touhou game should have. Would 1CC again.
