About
Protos Magos is a fast-paced first-person action game where you customise your attacks and change how they behave to create a build that fits your play style. Fight through dark medieval levels and blast apart hordes of demons before they surround you.
Combine runes to create custom attacks. The first rune defines the attack’s core form — a burst of ice shards, an explosive fire orb, a piercing lightning lance, a toxic pool, an earth spike, or a sustained dark ray. The runes after that change how the attack behaves.
Fight through castles, graveyards, cathedrals, and demon-infested arenas inspired by old-school action level design. Combat is fast and positional: keep moving, aim carefully, and don’t let the horde flank you.
Fire orbs. Earth spikes. Toxic pools. Lightning lances. Explosive shards. Castles. Graveyards. Custom attacks. Demons.
Lots and lots of demons.
Customise your attacks. Survive the horde. Keep moving.

First off, I want to thank the developer for handing over the game's steam code. Let's get right into it... _________________________________________________________________________________ REVIEW As I was booting up this game, I had very low expectations for this game's presentation. With the menu loaded, I started to think I was right and was slowly doubting whether I should recommend or not. Anyways, I began by choosing the first option the game presented to me which I consider to be the "story" mode. From the very moment the game loaded, I was impressed by the atmosphere and level design from an early access game and found myself enjoying this experience throughout my 30 mins of playing. However, the more I played, the more I realized how little information this game gives to the player. For example, when I randomly decided to revive a skeleton in the first area, I didn't know that it were going to attack me after a very short amount of time. This had led me to unexpectedly die. With that being said, I absolutely love the combat. There are endless possibilities offered to the player which makes this game slightly more exciting. Finally, I highly recommend to add a variety of music to make the game feel more immersive. Final Score : 6/10 _________________________________________________________________________________ Thank you for reading this review and from the bottom of my heart, I wish the developer a good luck

[h5]Early Access[/h5]

Considering this is in early access, my review would change if this game became decent. If this game only looks like this due to being put in early access extra early, then that makes sense. I have said what I thought and consideration was not made about this being in early access, since I was actually not aware of that somehow. When I found out, I did edit parts out for less savagery. This is a review of the current experience. I can't exactly review a game for what it could become.

[h5]I decided to make a list of pros and cons[/h5]

Cons:

Text boxes are boring - the entire interface looks boring (too simple)
The font looks like the first downloadable font the developer found after searching 'Cool font'
There's just those 2 candle clusters that emit a circle of light above them unlike literally every other candle that's near a wall
Environment looks dead. Objects in the game just look like objects - just there. Existing. If that makes sense.
The fog looks stupid
Before playing this game I didn't think you could know what a skeleton was thinking based on body language since they are just bones, but I can confirm they perfectly capture the disappointment I had after starting the game. Especially that one skeleton looking up at the ceiling. I agree with that one. There's another skeleton that looks dead - and skeletons are already dead but this guy looks extra dead. Another great way of showing the kind of reaction I had. Then there's another one who's clearly straight up depressed.
You can shoot a spell like a minigun, I guess encase your Vietnam war flashbacks come back and you need to commit mass murder.
If you think this game might be too hard for you, don't worry - if you find yourself being shot at by cyber skeleton guys, just like I dunno, not stand still. If you run, they can't get you. They are basically Stormtroopers
I wasn't being careful and was almost dead so you know what I did? I ran away. A genius defensive strat.
You can pretty much just wait for your undead buddies to kill enemies for you while you hide behind a wall and take a coffee break.
Pro:

I like the thumbnail art

[h5]10/10[/h5] - would recommend for thumbnail enjoyers
Very fun but too fast paced for me.
Из пожеланий - хочется видеть некое подобие арены, чтобы потестить разные сборки и пофаниться _________________________________________________________________________________ In general, the idea is interesting. Some kind of fantasy doom. It will be interesting to see through one or more patches. Of the problems I encountered: 1). The game crashed after entering the second location 2). On my logitech g432 headphones, with surround sound turned on, the sound of footsteps on the ground feels like it's not you walking, but others are following you. When surround is turned off, the effect is preserved, but much less noticeable. From the wishes - I want to see some kind of arena in order to test different bilds and have fun

Crashed in under 10 minutes.
Espero ver o projeto aprimorado.
I got a key from the game creator about a week ago- The game itself is a basic fps, the special feature of which is the right and left hand magic, meaning: with the right and left mouse buttons you can attack with magic of different effects and power, and you can also cast a special attack that charges more slowly. The attacks charge automatically, they are not tied to mana, you just have to fill your life with a life potion or strengthen your defense with armor. The levels themselves are not linear, but a walkable path that takes you to places where you have to activate switches or solve simpler logic puzzles to move forward, nothing that would interrupt the gameplay. The game world is a kind of medieval fantasy, where we fight demon knights, mages, archers, we mostly meet them in mixed formations in more open or more closed spaces, but since the level structure is free to walk, the artificial intelligence is easy to play, if we retreat to an already cleaned room and eliminate the army of hell from the door, the artificial intelligence still needs to be polished. My other problem is Unreal engine 5. Unfortunately, I have a pretty weak computer, so the game was quite difficult due to serious fps drops. But I definitely recommend it to everyone who has a suitable computer.
