Project Zomboid is the ultimate in zombie survival. Alone or in MP: you loot, build, craft, fight, farm and fish in a struggle to survive. A hardcore RPG skillset, a vast map, massively customisable sandbox and a cute tutorial raccoon await the unwary. So how will you die? All it takes is a bite..

Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Latest in each market: best CN #36, worst BR #97 · 14 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 326.86/day in the week to Sep 1 → 367/day in the week after.
Of the 12 markets with a position on both sides, 12 climbed and 0 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fun Game. Very very well done.

After 243 hours, Project Zomboid has earned a permanent spot in my game library. I play almost exclusively singleplayer with a vanilla-plus mod list. Not because the base game is bad—far from it—but because one of Zomboid’s biggest strengths is how easy it is to tailor the experience to exactly what you want. If there’s a small annoyance or a feature you wish existed, chances are someone has already made a high-quality mod for it. What keeps me coming back isn’t just that it’s hard. Plenty of games are hard. It’s the feeling this game creates. Every time I leave my base, there’s this mix of optimism and dread. Maybe I’ll finally find that tool I’ve been looking for. Maybe I’ll score enough food to last another couple weeks. Or maybe I’ll get distracted for thirty seconds, make one dumb decision, and that’s the end of a character I’ve spent dozens of hours building. Few games create that kind of tension without feeling unfair. Build 42 is when everything really clicked for me. It didn’t just add more content—it gave me more ways to play. Crafting, exploration, progression, and the world itself all feel more connected now. Combined with the sandbox settings, I honestly don’t think I’ve ever played another survival game that’s this customizable. You can make the apocalypse exactly the way you want, and every new run naturally ends up telling a different story. The game also trusts you. It doesn’t shove quest markers in your face or stop every five minutes to explain itself. Sometimes that’s frustrating at first, but it’s also why surviving feels so rewarding. When you finally get your base established or pull yourself out of a terrible situation, you know you did that. It’s not perfect. The UI is still probably my biggest complaint, although I think the modding community does a fantastic job filling in those gaps. One moment I’ll never forget was getting trapped inside a gun store when the helicopter event dragged what felt like the entire county to my location. I had shelves full of guns and ammo and thought, “I’ve got this.” Turns out… I did not have this. I emptied everything I had and still got overrun. It was frustrating in the moment, but it’s also one of the stories I still remember years later. Honestly, that’s the biggest compliment I can give Project Zomboid. I don’t remember my individual saves nearly as much as I remember the stories they created. If you enjoy games that let you figure things out for yourself, reward planning, and constantly create those “well… that could’ve gone better” moments, I can’t recommend this enough. Just remember: this is how you died.
