Project XMAS is a low key asset flip, a bunch of other people's assets assembled badly to make a basic game, typically this kind of thing is done by amateur developers without sufficient budget, talent and/or staff to do the job of game development professionally. It's then quickly rushed into Steam Direct. And, unsurprisingly, this never results in a product with any quality, interest, or value for gamers. This is a really basic Unity first person horror asset flip with a twist... apart from the fact the developer never finished the game, also, there's no content because the developer tried to use procgen instead but couldn't get the algorithm to do his job for him so the game basically doesn't work, you get randomly generated broken levels. Sure, procgen is way easier than actually creating meaningful content, but the dev here couldn't even get that right. So, the game might look better than you'd expect from an amateur project, but this is because it's partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Very little in this game is truly the creation of the "developer", it's just a bunch of rearranged assets. While there's no up front price for this asset flip, the other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, it's also true they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "Project XMAS". The developers abandoned this 3 years and 1 month ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. On pricing, this is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 7 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

Project XMAS, evinize dönmeniz gereken retro tarzı, korku, tek oyunculu bir oyundur... Harita tamamen prosedürel olarak oluşturulduğundan her yaklaşım farklı ve spesifik olacaktır.
No. There's a lot wrong with this game. First, what is the actual premise? I almost feel like it was inspired by Theseus and the labyrinth. The MC just walks around in a maze-like dungeon with the purpose of finding a key to unlock a door all the while "dodging" the monster in there. Beyond the obvious "escape from the dungeon" point, why was the MC there in the first place? I don't mind wandering around aimlessly, it's just that there is a lot of potential that's kind of wasted. The graphics weren't too bad, but the monster in the dungeon is literally the demogorgon from Stranger Things. It is also extremely easy to not get caught by it. It didn't even notice I was there, despite the game giving you notes about how the monster can't see you but it can hear and smell you. So, I assumed that it would still hear me walking, which wasn't the case. So not having a true chasing aspect kills off a lot of any scariness that the game had to offer. One of the bugs I had was that the sound kept randomly turning off. Having to constantly turn it back on was frustrating. There is a small typo in the very first note you read, but nothing that was overly distracting. When you die, there is no way to restart or go back to the main menu, forcing the player to completely exit and reopen the game to start a new game. I don't normally mention achievements (as they're a secondary aspect to a game in my opinion), but the developer has mentioned that they basically abandoned the game. All but 1 achievement is broken and I doubt that they will ever be fixed. Overall, I just didn't have fun playing this game. I get lost constantly in general (which is mostly fine) but I just didn't have any reason to keep struggling on. Even free, I still say dodge this game.
A ver, el juego está bien, corte re tranqui y todo pero hay una entidad que te quiere coger a toda costa.
Its not bad, and it is creepy, but the achievements are so broken. I walked over 100 steps, my camera died and I died that should have been three. I only got one for the battery, the death scene didn't end the game either. It just went on for minuets so I had to esc to the dashboard. I re-downloaded it and it gave me the running out of battery achievement again instead somehow and deleted my old progress of getting it.
Пост процессінг дуже крутий, ріально срашно, але я монстра так і не побачив, за то знайшов ехіт..
I got so bored I went looking for the monster to kill me. It took me 15 minutes and I STILL didn't find it to die.
super graaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Before I played Project XMAS, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
