Project RyME

I'm a sucker for a good in-game terminal. Also loved the Trails references <3

I really liked this game, it's fun, interesting and full of heart. While at the beginning it may seems like one of the several games where you just snoop inside another's person device, Project RyME has much more gameplay variety. The "hacking" parts are quite elaborate (or at least they are for someone like me who doesn't know anything about this stuff) and you have to learn using console commands to do most things. Luckily it's not hard because there's a good tutorial and also an in-game hint system and a walkthrough you can use anytime from the options menu. But that's not it, since there are also several games within the game you have to get through to continue: at first you have a platform and a 2D space shooter, and later you have (among the others) [spoiler] an old school jrpg with text adventure segments, a tower defense, even a small metroidvania! [/spoiler] The writing is what keeps it all together and makes the game memorable, I loved the chat interactions with your friends, really funny and heartwarming.
